The concept of Cityvibe's "available now" feature is (in theory, at least) supposed to help guys in this situation. But as a practical matter it has never really worked that way for me. I have tried it both ways, contacting providers who are listed as being available now and also by listing myself as available now. When the providers appear online, that doesn't necessarily mean they are actually available. They might be dealing with email or updating their profiles or whatever else they might be doing. But when I've reached out to many of them, they often say they don't take same day appointments and need to go through the usual screening, which can take a while. That's all perfectly reasonable, but it eliminates any possibility of setting up a date on short notice, thus defeating the notion of "available now." And when I've listed myself as available, I usually have gotten no response at all, and certainly have never received a response from any of the top-rated providers, who undoubtedly don't need to go in search of dates.

Anyway, I feel your pain and hope you found something fun to do this afternoon. There are some good strip clubs out there where you can have a little extra fun, but it's never as good as being with one of LA's top providers.
