I wanna plan a trip to LA this summer but Im totally clueless on what city would be the best and not too far out of the way for the ladies to travel to me.  Im in my 20's, so a younger, hip place would be what Im looking for.  Any help would be apprectiated.

I'd go with west Hollywood.

The Elan Hotel on Beverly Blvd. & Croft a few blocks away from the Beverly Center right in the heart of West Hollywood or the Chateau Marmont...an older boutique hotel whose replete reputation is of legendary proportions...

In the summer the beach cities are a nice place to be, I like Hermosa. Bill Clinton preferred Santa Monica.
