Personally, I don't like the valley, it's too hot or too cold or, too boring. In the westside you need little A/C or heat. But, westside has a lot of traffic.  You might get more and better business in the westside. Good Luck, I would like to see other responses.

The Valley is a lot more open.  There are plenty of great places to go to on Ventura Blvd.
The Valley does not get as congested as West LA gets.  And if you really wanted to go to West LA,, its only a short drive on the freeway.  

There are many great neighborhoods in LA for a single person.  Onthe other hand for business purposes you have to factor in traffic.   The 405 corridor--Culver City and West LA--can be good because of easy access to lots of big thoroughfares as well as the 405 and 10.  The Valley can work but it's probably best for business if you're near the 101 and better yet near where the 405 and 101 meet. Anything that requires long hikes on small surface streets that back up easily will put a hitch in your gitalong.

Agree that the E. San Fernando Valley area is less congested, easier parking and lower rents than the  West Side. Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Toluca Lake and Burbank are all good areas. The NoHo Arts District is very trendy, but rents have gone up and parking is an issue. eom

...of the 405.  I can take Laurel Canyon, Coldwater, or Beverly Glen and avoid the 405 which will still be a nightmare for another year due to construction.

But for me, too far west of the 405 is Death Valley.

great cities within the valley.  More desirable area within certain cities are known as "south of the boulevard" which is Ventura Boulevard.  Cities such as Encino, Sherman Oaks and Studio City for instance are rather nice areas and they get pricier if you are south of the boulevard.  It'll be cheaper in the Valley and hotter as others have mentioned.  

Honey with your looks and reviews rent will be the least of
your worries. If you want a handy location, near freeways
and near the busiest areas for clients I would highly recommend
the west side. There is a reason that the most in demand ladies aren't  
in the valley. Location, location, location. Brentwood, West L.A.
or even Santa Monica would be ideal for you.

can i put a word in for my personal fav sadie joy, who is in sherman oaks, as well as my good buddy agenlina rossi, also in studio city. both girls are hot and will rock your world.  and in the valley, no less.

Where do you want to live?

Well, it really comes down to if you're planning on providing out of your residence.  If that's the case, you'll need to find somewhere that's accessible, but private.  Near some major freeways since everyone drives in LA.   405/101 area is good, (Sherman Oaks, Encino)   Studio City near Universal is good, 10/405 is also good (West LA, Santa Monica, Westwood).   Any of these areas great and centrally located enough to keep you available.
