News item.

To avoid paying for a costly ballot LA City Council voted 9-1 to approve an ordinance that would deny film permits to adult video companies that don't require their actors to use condoms. Predictably, many industry leaders were up in arms.

I wonder if this will impact the availability of providers in LA?  Aren't a fair number here because of the amount of production that occurs in SFV?

If it weren't for idiots, there would be no one left in Cali.

Who's going to pay when you are trying to get some free-free with your EBT? Which closed hospital will you go to when your state provided 100% PPO bounces checks? Which closed bank will you withdraw your 100% of salary pension, when the State is using your money to build the 100 Billion dollar train from 29 Palms to Livermore?

Looks like the porn industry will be the latest to leave.

Only the city will be out the money. Valencia and plenty of other places around the valley are not part of LA City.

I think the actors/actress should be the ONLY ones making the decision to use condoms or not...

Stunt men and women that make good money for high falls, being lit on fire, etc. in the motion picture

biz make the choice to take a job or not.... Risk vs Reward.

I really hate to see that $$$ leave the state...WTF

Just another example of why companies that generate jobs and tax revenues are leaving not just the city but the whole state in droves.

I don't have all that many small business contacts, but I know three that moved to Nevada in the last few years after having it up to their eyeballs with California's oppressive regulations and taxes.

California's problems are almost all self-inflicted wounds.  And since the "nanny state" legislators and city councils think they all know what's best for every aspect of our lives, it won't get better any time soon.
