I remember the days when we used to get high in the laundry room of an apartment building and ask questions like-- If the source of our thoughts and feelings is the brain, why is it that when someone is decapitated we say his head was cut off, or something blew his head off? Shouldn't we say he got his body cut off? Or his body was blown off? The self resides in the brain, doesn't it? I mean except for those of us who live in our cocks. Then we only say he had his body cut off when... Oh, it's to horrible a thought to think about.

Or what about the first planned human head transplant.  Yes, there is one being planned, just google it.  If the resulting person survives, should that person take the identity of the original head or body?
