I was on a jury on a felony case. I told the judge that I did not want to serve because I am not allowed to nullify the law and I cannot perform my jury duties under the Indiana Constitution. The Indiana Constitution said that the Jury is the judge of the law and the facts. The defense lawyer got up and argue that the Indiana Supreme Court rule that the jury is the judge of the law and the facts.
The judge told the lawyers in front of the jury that he will NOT allow Jury nullification in HIS courtroom. The lawyer told him that it is part of the bill of rights in the Indiana Constitution.
The judge told the lawyers in front of the jury that he does not care what the Constitution says. He said that the constitution does not apply in his courtroom.
There was a fully informed jury member who passed out flyers about jury nullification in the Casey Anthony trial. He was sentence by the judge to 6 months in prison.
If you pass out fully informed jury flyers near the courthouse, you will be arrested and held in contempt for jury tampering.
That mean if you are serving on a jury on a prostitution case or patronizing a prostitute, you cannot find the defendant NOT guilty because you disagree with the prostitution statutes.
The prostitution laws are according to the judges’ decision on what the law is and is not. If you find that using the word GFE or escort services is not enough to convict the defendant, and the judge say it is prostitution, then it is prostitution. You cannot find the defendant NOT guilty because of how the law is actually written.
If you discuss jury nullification in the jury room, you will be held in contempt of court.

...a jury.  The attorneys have an opportunity to ask your views on subject matter of the case at hand.  If you're a hobbyist, you don't have to incriminate yourself, but you must tell the court that you cannot be an impartial juror.  You will be dismissed from the panel of prospective jurors.

OTOH, you may be interested in a lawsuit you can pursue - suing your brain for non-support.  You have a very good chance of winning.

Please stop posting legal "advice."

Your confusing two issues.

Sex for money = Prostitution that is the law
If GFE is prostitution that is a jury issue - and very easy for the state to get testimony it is various forms of illegal and risky sex.

Jury nullification theory is the idea that yes she offerred GFE which was prostitution therefore is guilty BUT the jury under this theory has the right to say yes it was illegal but we disagree with the law and nullify the  breaking of the law.

Every court in the U.S. that I have ever heard about will hold you in contempt of raise it in Court.

The only effective way of trying to use it is in smaller towns media that might reach potential juries or can "march" or hand out flyers outside the Courthouse in public areas which are considered "free speech" areas.    But while interesting theory I have never heard of it ever working.

Most Patronizing a prostitute or prostitution cases ended up in guilty plea, or diversion agreements. Very few ever make it to trial.  When the cops record you using hidden microphone or video cams agreeing for trading money for sex, it is slam dunk.
The best thing a John can do is not go to trial. If you go to trial and loose, the judge and the prosecutor may give you a higher sentence than if you plea guilty or accepting a diversion agreement.
If the evidence is not strong, and you hire a lawyer or law firm that has allot of political connections, you may not get a higher sentence for going to trial.
Most of the time it is best just to accept the diversion agreement if it is offer to you

Can't you just say "Not Guilty" and
not speak out about nullifiying...

when you say NG do yo have to give
your reasons???

I have never served on a jury,
but it would be very interesting
to hear what the jury instructions are...

Yes, you can say "NOT GUILTY" and hung the jury. You will not get in trouble if you do NOT talk to your fellow jury members about Jury nullification. If the 12 members does not come to all a "not guilty" vote, then the jury is hung, and the prosecutor can retry the case 2 more times.

Ignore this idiot. Did I just say that????

Inform a jury of all their options which include's "Jury Nullification" by placing info on the windshield of all the cars at the court house..
This has worked in the past and could work again when the Jurors are provided with an indepth knowledge of Jury Nullification via the court house parking lot on the day of trial.
The key is to ASK FOR A TRIAL BY JURY (of your peers).

If I'm arrested for participating in a golden shower session, can I get a jury of my pee-ers?

(I'll go stand in the corner now.)

Generally, the hobby world is one of discretion and labeling yourself as a hobbyist in the courtroom isn't a good idea. Do you even hobby? To me your posts sound like you're an idealistic law student, thinking your theories can change the good ol' boys club. If you do hobby please wait until you're not wet behind the ears before you play keyboard expert on a pay for play board. I'm not trying to be rude, but I really hope no newbies get in trouble by listening to your posts. Remember, "The path to hell is paved by good intentions."
