The US Attorneys of course are the Presidentially appointed chief federal prosecutors for each federal district, at least one and usually three per state.
They institute most of the federal prosecutions in the US, some independently, and others after approval from Main Justice in DC, for the biggies.

Most have websites, except the one in L.A. seems two years out of date. The websites have almost daily press releases and list indictments, pleas, the kind of case, etc, in chrono order.

I noticed that the feds had three Phoenix Arizona prosecutions of escort agency owners in the past year for federal income tax evasion, over small sums under $100K. Agencies on McDowell. No one who looked at all familiar.
There are a lot of tax prosecutions in the US all over.
That is almost as dumb as the war on drugs.

There were many porno and several Mann Act cases, almost always involving minors. Some US Attys actually brought in Canadians and a Swede who came to the US for sex with minors, and instead found a big hairy FBI agent. I thought Swedes were smart? Olaf the Viking is now in an Arizona desert prison without a/c, probably for the rest of his life. Every district has a child porno possession case each quarter or more.

The big racketeering cases have dropped off since 9/11. There were only several, which probably means they slowed down for a while and will return soon. There were large numbers of federal drug cases, every where.

In DC the feds prosecuted two guys who stabbed other guys to death for criticizing the clothing worn by one's girlfriend, and the other's mother! K Mart rage!

There's not been an escort prosecution in DC for well over ten years now. The feds are busy with drug crimes, gangs, drug related murders, and guys who stab other guys for critiquing clothing, but in outlying parts of town, ungated communities.
