Web Design for Providers

I have a web design company and have been approached by two providers to build them websites advertising their business. I have quoted pricing and they are interested in moving ahead with the process. However, as I have never done web work for this industry, I am wondering about any liability issues. If I create their site and they get busted, can it come back to me and my business? They are paying for my work just like any other customer, but I just dont want to open myself or my company up to any legal issues if I move forward with their site build.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Our company is in S. California (dont know if that matters.)

Thanks in advance.

IANAL but a zealous prosecutor could take the legal tack that you are an accomplice, or aiding and abetting, or even pimping and pandering. I seriously doubt that would happen, especially in SoCal. OTOH, if you're behind the Orange Curtain or in Duke Cunningham territory in San Diego you could be targeted. Spring the hour fee for a lawyer and get professional advice.
