and they do lie all the time. in maryland a few years back, there was even a scandal with LE and/or tipsters (i forget which, might have been both) going into a massage parlor and fucking the girls/getting handjobs before a bust was made. i think a lot of the girls got off (no pun intended) because of this.

since most providers are fine, since it is very rare to get busted by a know escort or most any pro the odds of getting a cop on the phone is very low--but the question you ask is the same one a cop would answer with his hand covering the mouth piece on the phone and in a loud voice he will shout to the other cops, "he wants to know if I am a cop?" and the whole room will break up with "ho ho ho...."

This one makes me go cross eyed.  It's not that it's a stupid question, it's that the majority of providers think that cops can't lie; that's like saying that dogs can't look up.  If screening were that easy, why do girls still get busted?  No lady wakes up in the morning and says 'Today, instead of asking one simple question, I'm going to take risks.'  Yes, Virginia... there is a Santa Claus and under cover law enforcement is permitted to lie if it's in the line of duty.  Some of them can do you one better, they *will* lie in order to get a bust, even if you do everything by the book you can still go to jail.  Who do you think the court will believe?  Police are  trying to earn a living the same as your average escort and if they're not earning their keep and bringing in criminals then they're going to have to account for it.  A better question to ask is 'have I done my research and do I feel comfortable with this situation?'  Please, never, ever make the mistake of thinking that something like this will keep you safe.

A close second to this bit of misinformation circulates around the strip clubs.  Strippers think that under cover officers are not allowed to drink.    Isn't it cute when naked women are so very wrong?

Now, this last bit isn't something that I have any personal experience with but a little kitty told me that there were undercover police officers out in Irving and Arlington, Texas who will go through with the entire session and then, when it's all finished, flash their badge and take the lady to jail.  I don't know if it's true but I wouldn't be shocked to hear that it is; LE enjoys good companionship as much as the average client.
