Do Sexual Predators Deserve the Gas Chamber, Really?
or There's No Business Like Show Business
Sexual preferences should be respected when they do not impede on others. Although adultery, prostitution, same-sex marriage, birth control, abortion, and numerous other human activities are thought by some to be crimes worthy a one way entrance into the gas chamber, I think we should step back and realize that different folks have their own extreme takes and we should be working to find har-money cum-passion and ass-ceptance of diverse practices.
All jokes ass-side (except that one), when you meet a person who is a fanatic on any of the above subjects, try to reach a common ground before hitting them in the mouth with your crutch. Treat them nicely so they learn to like you and then say,
“You and I are friends, we think the same way on many issues, but try to be a little more understanding of other peoples points of view.” This will help the world’s tension core by a few Richter’s and add to your chances of getting into heaven after your neighbor shoots you for your defense of whatever sexual foible you are practicing with his wife or some other willing victim in the neighborhood.
Now a few words on child molesters, that all or most seem to think are the worse kind of folk or fucks out there. Listen, first of all keep an eye on your kids, watch over them, don’t let little kids run around without supervision, do not dress six year olds like strippers and be surprised when someone strips them. If your teenage kids look they are selling sex for dollars maybe you can tone them down and give them a bag of condoms. Once you have done that there ain’t too much else you can do except educate them to run like hell when the local pervert “cums a call’en”.
Now you ask what to do about the local pervert? When I was a little kid, I remember the men in the neighborhood banded together one night and scoured the area looking for the mug who put his hands on little Jamey’s pussy. That was appropriate back then I suppose. Nowadays putting your hands on someone may get you a worse piece of bad news than camaraderie after the fact at the local bar. Now let’s be clear, sexual predators are a bad group but they are a broad group. Most of them are assholes who want to be around playgrounds and little kids, maybe expose themselves out in the parking lot of the local mall, but they are not a real danger. Some of them are, particularly the ones who kidnap and kill; those few give molesters a dirty name.
Check the Megan's List or what ever list is on your internet for your area. Now not everyone listed on the internet list is a risk, a nineteen year old who has sex with a seventeen year old will be there and he has already married your sister’s kid and is working at the local hardware store to support his little family; as well as the teacher we never had, but longed for, who looked like a centerfold playmate and was oh so busy fucking her students. But it might be helpful to take a look at lists of sexual predators that might be living in the garage you just rented.
What you have to realize is that a child predator is not an alien that looks like an insect, he is a sick person, not just weird but mentally ill. Some of these guys (rarely are they girls) need a super hormone shot to kill their crazy sexual urges (chemical castration) or better yet a real castration to get their balls out of their brains. This is a valid treatment although not pursued by the courts as mandatory but occasionally offered as an alternative to a longer sentence . However some sickos’ who are sick of themselves will get out a razor and a scooper and do the job themselves in a bid to find some inner peace.
A lot of deviates are successfully treated, some are not. We do not have the knowledge to medically treat the worst of them at this time. Incarceration is not a pleasant road to hoe for these guys as they are often gang raped or murdered inside the prisons. Oddly, prisoners seem to have a conservative take on crime and punishment, probably a result of too much Dostoevsky in the prison libraries. If these child molesters do make it to the outside world they are subject to strict housing rules that often means they cannot live anywhere but out on the desert where no schools, churches, malls, civic centers or playgrounds exist. Ain’t easy for them but we seem to be running out of alternatives as we are running out of half-way houses which sometimes are a good alternative for their housing while the news media makes us so paranoid that we think there is a child molester hiding in every bush.
But gentleman and ladies, please let us think of this as a medical problem, not a reason for a mob lynching; one of these days the medical doctors will get a handle on how to tackle this problem, in the meantime calm down, unload your firearms and start keeping a closer eye on your kids whether you are a leftist or a rightist or a dem or repub. I try to hold the middle line, i.e. I don’t agree with every thing Sarah Palin says, but I sure would like to fuck her.
No one could "cure" me of liking women and pussy...
Homosexuals say that they cannot be "cured" of attraction to people of the same sex...
So why would we think that child molesters could be "cured" of their sexual attraction to children? Even though we know it's wrong, why would we think that there's a "quick fix" cure for this deviancy?
I am not in favor of death penalty, but society should never expect that child molesters could be "cured." So those who cannot control their impulses need to be put away for life, w/o parole.
compulsive behavior is more than just an "impulse".
it runs in my family, although thankfully, nothing that would land us in jail.
my mother is a hand-washer.
my son, my brother and I are counters.
this is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain but they don't know what exactly is missing or how to fix it.
do you really think anyone wants to be a child molestor ?
they hate themselves even more than we hate them.
i hated the rituals but not doing them just wasn't an option.
i had to finish the count.. i couldn't think of anything else until the ritual was done and if i messed up, i had to start over.
it was HORRIBLE.
and stupid.
i always felt so stupid doing them.. i knew it was pointless and a waste of time and i HATED it.
i was able to get over it but it took years... the most difficult thing was when i was able to stop thinking about whatever counting ritual i should have been doing, i couldn't even congratulate myself for not doing it because then i would be thinking about it again.
you got lucky. i got lucky.
the symptoms in my family are mild and not offensive to society but even if they were, it wouldn't matter. there is no controlling it. that's the definition of compulsive behavior.. you have no choice.
yes they are sickos.
but they aren't necessarily evil people. just sick.
i doubt they are actually sexually attracted to children or get pleasure from it.
just some relief for a minute..
i hated it the whole time i was doing it and i was only counting, not molesting or hurting anyone.
i have a child.. i do not want to defend the actions of child molestors. i hate them and it turns my stomach to even think about them.... but at the same time, a part of me actually understands and sympathizes with them ... and fears them..... in order to understand the power behind compulsive behavior, i think you have to actually experience it. ..... you literally cannot move forward in your life until you do whatever it is that you need to do... it blocks out all other thought.
it's not an impulse or a whim. . its more like a requirement.
they can be cured.
but the cure hasn't been perfected yet.
although i'm sure there are some people who actually are sexually attracted to children, i think the majority of child molestors are actually suffering from ocd.

At the same time, I feel the risk is just to great to ever let child molesters out of custody. No cure is 100%. Child predator are like serial killers, they are mentally ill and may not be entirety to blame for there actions but must be stopped. I could never forgive myself if I let one out and he struck again. If I had such an illness I would not want to be let out. I don't support the death sentence for those who's crimes were committed because of an mental illness but when those crimes destroy lives you can't let then out ever. I know it is cruel but it is the lesser of two evils in my opinion. You just can't trust a cure with so much at stake. I say this knowing the power of a mental illness as I have an addiction to overeating that I am dealing with and sometimes it is overwhelming and if it hurt someone else I would want to be lock away so I could not hurt them.
LOCK THEM UP AND THROW AWAY THE KEY!

Child molesters should be given LIFE in prison without the possibility of parole, EVER!! Maybe it's just because I'm a parent of 2 young children, but if anyone ever touched mine, if the police didn't find him first....well, you already know if you're a parent yourself.
keep in mind that even today, there are some societies that dont criminalize child molestation and believe it is very normal.
i actually dont think the molestation damages the child psychologically as much as our society's attitude regarding child molestation does.
i've had several guys tell me that they were sexually molested as children and even though it hurt, they enjoyed it. . they started to look forward to it.
so i don't know.
as humans, we only use 13% of our brain so we are all too stupid to be judging anyone else, is what i think.

Its all good. Nothing is illegal, nothing is unacceptabe because 'who are we to judge?'
If we, as a society, cannot 'judge' that having our children molested is beyond the pale, what CAN we say is unacceptable. The thought process that says 'well, I can't really condemn this person for doing that because (insert psycho babble du jour here)' is so moronic that it defies wasting time arguing with.
There are simply some things that simply are NOT DONE. And IF you do them, the full weight of the law should fall upon you. I assure you if someone had molested one of my children, he would have needed the protection of the State to keep him from suffering a 12 ga castration.
End of participation in this thread.

any differently than other persons who sexually abuse children and the answer here is a resounding "no."
I 've seen no studies that say the impulse to act on pedophilic thoughts is uncontrollable, and just bc the DNS currently lists pedophillia as a mental disorder is no reason for the law to give any leeway here.
It wasn't long ago that the DNS listed homosexuality as a mental disorder. Further, you can make the case that pedophillia is not a mental disorder at all. Most studies show that 25% of the adult population are subject to sexual arousal by children but choose not to act on the impulse. I think the few who do act are exercising their power of choice and are no more deserving of legal leniency than are alcoholics.
they are a threat to our children no matter what the reason is.
the problem is, when there is a child involved, we need to blame the person who we see as harmful. we don't want to believe those kinds of people need help and we don't care if they need help because we have no desire to help them. we just want to get rid of them, preferably in ways that would be very painful to them, but the only way to really get rid of them, is to help them.
taking a moment to try to understand them, is a step closer to solving the problem.
another problem is that our legal system was developed to protect society but we use it more and more to punish instead. the reasoning being that punishing criiminal behavior will work as a deterrent and therefore protect society. it failed.. all the studies showed that rehabilitated criminals were less likely to repeat their offense, than criminals who were just given harsher sentences with no rehabilitation efforts.
so lock them up but don't throw away the key.
protect our children but don't punish someone because they are sick. . being that sick is punishment enough already. .
it wasn't long ago that homosexual behavior was a crime either.
in fact, i think it still is in some of our states.
in the late 80s, a guy in georgia was sentenced to 2 years in state prison for giving his wife oral sex, while they were married, and it was consensual.

so anytime you feel the need to punish a person and that person is not your child, and that person has not done anything to you or your family personally, you need to check yourself...
because you might learn tomorrow that YOU were wrong. ..
if you think it's wrong to do something, then don't do it...... dont worry about what other people are doing as long as they aren't bothering you, it's not your concern.

when i worked for the county prosecutors office and it still haunts me 10 years later.
i can remember the little boy's confused voices and the embarassment and shame on the teenaged boys who had to testify graphic details of their molestations, some of which happened when they were much younger and over a long period of time . ... i can remember the molestors faces and at the time, they made me sick ... they looked like sickos...... but looking back and knowing what i know now, their faces were not smirking. they did not seem satisfied or proud of their behavior.. .they seemed to be the faces of someone tortured.
but at the time i was unaware that my compulsion to do counting rituals was an actual medical condition... i just thought it was part of being a kid and figured all kids probably did weird things. in fact, i was using myself as an example when i was telling my son that kids were weird when he shouted at me that he had to count too. .. then i realized it was "something".
like if soemthing bumped into my left arm and it touched me 3 times, then i would have to have something bump my right arm 3 times.... it always had to be even... the left side of my body and the right side had to have the exact same experiences.... so i was constantly tapping my feet/legs/hands/arms on things a certain # of times and i must've learned to do it covertly because i was amazed when my mother said she never even noticed it. ... then if something else touched my left arm once before i got the count evened up on my right arm, i'd have to start over doing 3 on each arm and then once on each arm.
it was ridiculously stupid and i knew it but i wouldnt be able to think about anything else until it was done.
maybe molestors are truly evil and like preying upon little kids cuz they are weak, i dont know... i'm not trying to say that they are innocent of any wrongdoing or that we should accept their behavior....
i'm just suggesting that we are quick to judge and eager to punish people in this society.
and we're often wrong. (not me personally, but historically we as a people have been wrong about a lot of things although that might have been different if i had been around back then)
But I do believe that they should be able to be kept in jail after their sentence if they are evaluated and found likely to repeat their offenses.
