Short story my son in law is deployed so my daughters ex is trying to walk all over her
and she needs to be able to fight this on army pay.

So, if I got this right, you're daughter's husband is in the military but her ex-husband is trying to somehow "mess" with her while her current husband is on active duty and deployed.

If that's true, then as a military dependent, she can take advantage of military jag to assist in certain legal needs.  There is also on-base groups for wives of those deployed with all kinds of assistance available.  This may be helpful while she considers whether to spend scarce resources on civilian legal assistance... then of course, District Attorney's can be a possibility since they usually like to be seen as a friend of the military and defender of the down trowden so to speak.

Unfortunately JAG tells us the only thing they can do because its civie court is check over our paperwork after we have it all filled out and ready to file.They are not allowed to go to court with her nor fill out civilian court forms.but they are open  on a walk in only basis 4 days a week for 1 hour a day.. if she can take time off and drive the 20 miles to Luke to have them double check her paperwork.


She has also applied for the family legal assistance program  but all of these things take time to even be interviewed.So we went and got the paperwork to file a continuance today since she was just served yesterday and the court date is Sept 2nd.hopefully that will be approved on Monday so at least we have some time to get her legal representation and handle this clown once and for all.
