Being caught on this program will be no different from being caught on Cops.  That show's longevity in the face of legal challenges should tell you something about the right of the media to use footage of arrests.

The original poster is kidding himself when he says the hobby "is technically not illegal.  Unless you are dumb enough to flat out ask for sexual favors in exchange for money."  The hobby involves trading sex for money, and that is what the law forbids regardless of whether you "flat out ask for" it or not.  Being coy might make the illegality less blatant, but an exchange of sex for money need not be blatant to be illegal.

when they snag some self-rightious "clean living, family oriented" congressmen; not to mention a plethora of other newsmen, and it might not be too much to expect that they may get their own bosses to boot.

Naaaaah.

On, "To Catch a Predator", after the guy leaves the house , he get arrested by a mini-swarm of cops . . even if he doesn't enter the house, the gets busted for just showing up with intent. . . .

would that happen to on "To Catch a Hobbiest"  ?

is just showing up with a wad of cash enough to get arrested?    perhaps not convicted, but arrested?    with the TV camera's rolling, I'd think everyone gets nabbed . . . no?
