It was just on the news that Laurence Taylor was arrested for statutory rape because he had sex with a girl who was 16 years old.

That news, and the recent "puzzle" posted by Legal_Beagle prompted me to go searching for what the various states consider "statutory rape".  I found the very informative page linked below.  

This is just FYI.  I do not condone, nor engage in, sex with anyone under 18.   Truthfully, in my travels both here and in other countries, I've been offered the opportunity to "date" girls as young as 12.  I've run as far and as fast as I could from such offers...

he was arrested in NY where age of consent is 17, the girl was 16, in Jersey consent is 16. Now we tell him, and the Italian food is better in Jersey. Larry should have read your stuff and he'd be stuffing it still!
