The Department of Justice publishes guides oriented towards community policing meant for use by local law enforcement. One of the Problem-Oriented Guides for Police is about street prostitution.

You are right , that is interesting!  I wish I had time to read the whole thing. I had no idea prostitutes shoot drugs, bathe, defecate and create parking problems in whatever neighborhood they infest.

The problem is that prostitution is illegal.  If it were legal, much of the creepy stuff would dissapear, and cops could spend our tax dollars catching criminals and protecting us rather than mindlessly performing the moral bidding of politicians.  I have a lot of respect for police, despite the fact that we've turned them into trolls under bridges by asking them to police activities 99% of American's take part in.  Taking a girl out to dinner and a movie and buying her enough booze at the club to finally get laid is more than the $300 or so you'll pay for a far more honest transaction...Never mind the price I have paid over the years for my wife's capable services!
