Anna, there are 51 jurisdictions in the USA.  The 50 states are more likely to regulate sex charges than the Feds.

You need to specify 2 things:  1st, the state; and 2nd the CODE SECTION.  Usually it's a penal code, but there are often crimes written into other codes.

Without that information, nobody can tell you anything more useful than water-cooler gossip, which is idle BS at best.

Understandably, you might not have this information, or want to post it on the web.  Very good reason to take the PAPERS to a local LAWYER.  Some of them are useless assholes, but that's true of any group.   Just keep your wits about you and remember nobody is responsible for you, except for you.

It's probably "assignation".  Poor spelling can screw up google searches and create all sorts of misunderstandings & confusion.

This is a small example of why I strongly believe every high school civics class should include some classes on basic legal issues.  How the hell can we expect people to deal with the rules if they have no clue where to find them???
