The basic tenet of screening is to learn enough about your prospective client to allow you to feel safe.

For some gals, that is getting lots of personal information; for others it's references, either through a screening agency or from other providers whom you can identify as legit.

Only you know the level of security that will make you feel safe.  You will have to accept it as axiomatic that the higher level of screening you employ, the fewer clients you will have.

It's a trade off everyone has to make.

As you progress in this business, you'll develop a sense of how much care you need to take but until then, stay on the careful side.

Also, use the resources of the provider only boards and sites which have information on bad clients and the like, and also avail yourself of the various on line sites where you can read up on all aspects of the hobby.

From potential LE encounters? I understand they have procedures they have to follow but everyone I have talked to tells me something different. They say to look at their shoes, or their haircut. Will LE come into an incall location? and what's their procedure in this case? I wanna have a screening system that is effective. And for once I wanna know which of the things I'm being told by other providers is true, and which ones are fiction. What kinds of things will le wear and ask and do?

There are several issues...  you are working from "home".  I don't know if you actually live there.  Your security must be greater.   Are there issues with business zoning (running a business from a residential area)?  Emergency exits?  Regulations regarding closed / locked doors during business hours.   One massage lady I see has made her location conform...   also is on an upper floor/no doorbell.  Must phone for admission.  

Screening methods vary with indivuals...  & should not be discussed in a public forum.   Perhaps if you set up a specific e-mail for this other providers would be willing to mentor you.  (You can Delete it later)   I don't know what it takes to access the Providers Only Board.

You want to know who your seeing before you see them. Show me a provider who thinks she knows ALL of LEs tactics, and I will show you a provider who gets busted more then once in her career.
I can't give all my screening methods, but if you screen properly you have drastically reduced your chance of getting busted. Vice look like everyday guys. They are allowed to go outside the realm of LE physical standards.  They can get fully naked. They don't have to admit they are LE(duh! they are undercover) They can drink with you, and more importantly they CAN get service from you.

When as an attorney on call I used to visit with clients in the jails inside police stations in the big cities, I found it hard to tell the undercover cops from the weirdos when they were bringing in the victims of busts. The cops have the art of impersonation down to a science, if anything they are often over the top looking like drug addicts or criminals and with a business suit they will look like Mr. Nice Guy. They are every day guys doing a job and they do their best. Cops who are bad at being undercover or vice are given other jobs to do, the guys chosen are the chosen ones and they are good at it.

Some pros have a sixth sense and are good at telling who the cops are. That does not mean they do not get busted, the cops bust who they want to. And LE love to bust you for a second time before the first case hits the judge as it is hard to plead not guilty on the first case when you already have a second one behind you.

I think if you are an escort in a city where the vice are out to get you, the best thing to do is change cities or get a job in another cherry orchard. Just like legalized marujuana is on its way to legalization across the nation, prostitution will also get legalized.Too much time and money is wasted with this puritanical pursuit to clean up every available vagina or penis on the market, not to mention other orifices.
