I am a provider that was visiting Chicago and got arrested.
I took the call he seemed legit, one reference checked out.  He showed up 2 hours later on time, he said I looked wonderful, placed the money on the TV stand, I never counted it or touched it. We talked for 7 to 8 minutes about life things, he puts his hand on my knee and I said let's have some fun. He excused himself to the bathroom and opened the hotel room door. 5 police were standing there.
They took my laptop, cell phone, wallet and cash I had. I was booked for 5 hours and released. I have a court day end of Nov.
Anyone know a good attorney in Chicago?
Any words of advice?
Anyone know how Illinois law works?

of more concern is the provider who gave this LE a reference.

That person has flipped and other providers in Chicago should be made aware of this.

I'm so sorry that this has happened to you, and I hope you get a good lawyer who can get the charges against you dropped.

From what you say, I don't think a chargable offense took place.

2) Suggest you search on such words as "Chicago", "prostitution", "arrest", and "defense".  You will find some helpful information, including a Sun-Times article about bogus prostitution arrest of a guy who was sitting in his car with his wife.  The article mentions the names of his attorneys who sued the City of Chicago.

3) As noted, post on the Chicago board.

Sometimes, Chicago is NOT "my kind of town".

As a hobbyist this is very bad news. I understand why I have ladies screen me but, also I would NEVER EVER see a provider with NO Reviews at all. Did you check this other provider out to see if she had reviews or a website. It sounds like entrapment. I am not a lawyer but, that seems a little extreme for a misdemeanor. Get a good lawyer but, it's not even a felony-it's misdemeanor. Good luck honey. Just be sure to check out the other providers as much as you screen your prospective clients. Also, where are you posting your ads that it got the attention of le? CL has long been a magnet for le.

If this is your first offense, you will be depending on charge which will be a misdemeanor, fined and put on some sort of probation.A good criminal lawyer will help you with all of this.I recommend hiring an attorney just for peace of mind.Take care

"Let's have some fun."  That's what she said to me.  (She was the cop.)  All I said was "O.K."  No references to sex in general or any specific sex act in particular.  Didn't matter.  It got me 6 months probation and a $500 fine.

About the same amount of manpower too.  When the door opened, they even had their guns drawn on me.

Didn't happen in Chicago, so I can't give you any advice on lawyers.  

I think I may have a lawyer that could help you. when i toured chicago in august a lawyer emailed me when he saw my ad on eros and let me know to be very careful screening people. PM and ill give you his contact. hope that helps.

You didn't do or say anything that was illegal it sounds like to me but I'd be willing to bet the police report contains barefaced lies. I don't go on calls anymore but 20 years ago(eek)I got busted in Houston and had 5 minutes of time left the guy said he wanted a massage I told him I wasn't licensed 4 massage but I could do a back rub. He said how about some head? I said no I don't talk that was. He said let me take my shirt off and went for the door the police report said that I "agreed to have sexual intercourse for $200" that was never mentioned! I skipped out if you are from a different state I seriously doubt anyone is going to extradite you for a misdemeanor

I'm an attorney and I did criminal defense until a little bit ago. Here's the thing, there may be an out if you never touched the money. but they've worded the statute so broadly that it is a problem. depending on where you were arrested, a few thing may happen. Supervision and a fine. Classes and dismissal, or possibly worse. The exact situation is important. Email me here and we'll talk if you wish.

The Windy City is gaining quite a reputation as being a high risk place for ladies to visit.  Wonder how many violent crimes took place that day as a result of this misuse of police resources?  Tax dollars at work?  Try your tax dollars being wasted!
