Not sure if this is the right forum - let me know if it's wrong.

I just found out that a friend of mine who is a provider was assaulted by a client very recently.  When I asked if she had spoken to the police she indicated that she hadn't

I'm devastated and quite worried about the long term implications of this for her.  I'm treading very lightly since I know that she's extremely sensitive about this right now.  However, I'm hoping for some advice from the community as to how I might help her through this.

Many police departments will not care about the prostitution angle and will just focus on getting a bad apple of circulation.

Of course, nothing is certain.

There also, of course, many Do Not See lists our there such as Dangerzone411.  He should, at a minimum be reported to that.

(Which is HER decision alone) the focus should be on being there for her.

Simply ask her - "Is there anything I can do to help?"

If possible encourage your friend to visit with a therapist specializing in somatic modalities who can help find and release trauma that is held in the body due to her experience.

so sorry to hear about this evil monster hurting your dear friend.

We all know about the CL killer, many poor victims were afraid to report as the real fear of arrest for themselves.

Learned directly from a LE that "there was a women cut to pieces by a "monster".'

LE's solution  rather than go after & catch the monster ,They chose to arrest as many women as possible for solicitation.

there needs to be immunity to victims of violence

I'm no expert... perhaps no one here is... Thank you for supporting her. Just quietly listening... a sounding board as she works things through for herself. Perhaps professional help. Try a Women's Shelter for a referal.

I've not had this, of course, but I was pretty much a basket case as a result of my ex-wife's actions... divorce & backrupsy all rolled into one. I owe my life to a woman friend who let me talk & vent & ramble... just saying the words allowed me to eventually realize what made sense & what did not.  My friend hardly said a word.  It took me a couple of months... until I began to make sense of it all.  It is extremely rare for a private person to have the skills needed...  professional counciling, backed up by a good friend...  would be better.

I SO hate that anyone... would assault a vulnerable person. I wish some REAL MEN who care about women could have a few minutes to educate him.

It's a double shame that the *ss h*les of the world assault a lady... because they know they can get away with it.

Not all guys are like that... it will be very hard to trust again... My ex took that from me & it will never be the same... even 20 years later.

I agree that Dangerzone411 must know about this man.  This way Ciara can post and keep other providers safe.

Tell your friend to contact her local domestic violence organization.  They will help her and she can remain annonymous from the getgo if she chooses.

If she's strong enough, she may want to consider reporting to the police.  He is counting on her keeping quite due to the nature of their meeting.  The police ARE there to help keep us safe from violence.  Regardless of the situation surrounding their coming together.
