Hello everyone,

I am an independent GFE provider and because of recent LE activity, I have become very worried. I screen heavily but I feel as though I have met a few clients who had hidden agendas. To give you an example, I did my own investigative work on one guy in NJ who checked out when I screened him. His reference checked out but she was from another state, his office # checked out, his home number was listed with 411 and so I decided to go see him. He was really nice to me, a gentleman at all times and he tipped me very well but the whole time I was in his house, I felt like I was on audio and camera!

A few days later, I called 411 and they did not have his name listed anymore and the numbers he had given me did not work anymore! A month later, I called the numbers and they worked but no one answered so my guess is the number was up because they probably needed to use it to meet another girl. Recently I called what was his ' home number ' and a woman answered the phone! I have never been arrested for anything in my entire life, I do not smoke or use drugs and and have a crystal clean criminal and background record but I am like what the %*&^% is going on? I feel as though I have met several gentlemen who I feel could have been clients that work with LE to get convictions for them or private undercover LE with fake listed businesses, phony id's and fake phone numbers which check out.

I am very thorough when I screen someone and I use 411, I use google and I check out every website address that is uncommon on www.whois.com to check out when websites were purchased etc. but am I getting too paranoid or have I simply lost it? Is it time to quit? Is it possible for a guy to pay and have a GFE experience with you and then testify against you at a much much later date? Does LE have to catch you in the act right there to convict you or can LE actually target you several times in hope of building a case against you by use of small undetectable devices such as camera or audio and then use them against you at a much later date? Please keep in mind I am a low volume provider and my fees are relatively standard industry rates so I don't think I warrant this kind of attention but I am just preparing myself. Better safe than sorry.  

What I really want to know is what does the law in NYS ( New York State ) say about recording someone on audio or video without their knowledge? What does the law say about escorts and the legitimacy of being an escort? I mean, being an escort is legal but the illegal part is the exchange of sex for money so what part of the law says anything about an escort being a legal trade? Can someone send me a link? When a guy walks into my room, what should I never ever say in person? I just read a post that said don't talk about the money which I don't talk about but what if the guy says out loud, here is the money! If they have that on tape, can you be convicted based upon that? As you can see, I am still a novice at some.
