Provider on escort site is asking for a guarntee for no-show before she will make appointment. I told her that if would show intent and LE would have a great bust. Anyone ever been asked for deposit?

Do you think paying in advance shows intent but paying upon arrival doesn't? Why would such a bust be any better than one where the client just shows up with cash?
Paying in advance shows premeditation, but premeditation isn't an issue in solicitation or prostitution cases. Even if it was, calling to make the appointment also shows premeditation. The amount of time involved would not be relevant in any way I can see.
The only thing an advance payment could help the prosecutor prove is the identity of the client. But paying isn't a crime by itself, so the police would still have to make the bust at the scene. There wouldn't be any question of identitification when an officer caught the defendant with his pants down.
I can see some risks associated with paypal but I don't see how it would make a case against you any stronger than more traditional payment methods.

lots of girl and pornstars ask for deposits. I don't see how you think it is relevant to being busted. If anything its caution on her end not to accept anything in hand.
If you have the problem with that, then move on!
As a native and usually cynical & suspicious New Yorker, I am embarrassed to admit that ONCE I did send a 1/2 deposit via PayPal, she gave me the hotel name & Room #, but she wasn't there! I did get a small part back from PayPal, but I will NEVER send a deposit again!
why say anything? .. to LE I mean. let's just say you mailed your payment, doesn't matter how, she did show up and the cops make a bust.
On what circumstanial evidence? If you both stick to the same short story of being lovers, (which you only admit to the attorneys)let them arrest you. They have to prove it!!! you 'll be out in 24 hrs.
Remember you dont say anything to the police even if they do bust you.
People panic and spill their guts, they want you to, they can ask all the ??? they want you have the right NOT to answer them.
Otherwise maybe she freaked out that why didn't show. Who knows. I think the meeting for lunch is best, face to face..
Forget about the legalities, sending a deposit to a provider especially an unreviewed one is just plain stupid. Please start thinking with the big head.
What is your recourse if she noshows on you? You don't know her name,you don't know her address, you probably don't even have a phone number. You can't ruin her reputation, she doesn't have one. I don't mean to sound harsh, but if you send her money, you'll deserve everthing you get, or don't get, which is the much more likely outcome. DON'T DO IT
Now ask me how I really feel. lol
About the possibility of the sending of a deposit being a LE set up, I highly doubt that is the case.
On sending a deposit to an un-reviewed provider I feel compelled to respond to the posts by GaGambler (a gentleman I respect) and feetarefun2.
First to feetarefun2, having been on the recieving end so to speak when I was ripped off in Atlanta last yr I hope that experience does not always color your judgements of us ladies just as I have not let my experience color my view of the gents I see. I will say that I am even more diligent on my screening now than I was before and maybe you are also being such when researching a lady to see.
In his original post asscoldie did not mention 2 things that I do feel should be an influence as to why a lady would need a deposit in advance. One is the duration of the appt, the other is if she is to be traveling to you.
So far since I started here, I have had gentlemen send me deposits a total of 4 times. One of those times were in the early spring of 2004 before I recieved my first review in June of that yr. In 3 of the 4 instances I asked for a deposit the session was scheduled after the gentleman and I had a had developed a rapor via the chat room, instant message and phone. In the 4th instance we had only coresponded via email prior to the 1 phone call to confirm the date. In all 4 instances I traveled to where the gentleman was.
To be honest I am only here on a part time basis as my basic needs are already met via my other income. So when it comes time for me to travel to a gentleman it is not like I have a large pool of money to cover travel costs etc. As a rule I have asked for enough of a deposit to assure my travel related costs are covered (including the house sitter) and a place to stay before heading home in the event things fall apart after I arrive. As can be seen by my reviews, none of these gentlemen had a problem with me either not showing or not being the lady in the pictures (well one gent did get to cheat as I had a web cam at the time)
Either way use good sense and take all facts into consideration. I frankly think if it is a local lady there should not be a request for more than say 50 to be applied to the donation for in the event of a no show. Of course if the appointment is to be an extended one, you might suggest a meet and greet someplace in advance. If so please be willing to compensate the lady for her time at an agreed upon ammount.
