What are the likely legal ramifications of beating the crap out of a pimp/driver when they try to rob you? I have actually considered calling a known ROB just for the opportunity to beat some ass without going to jail for assault but I don't know how likely they would be to involve LE. Anyone have any experience with a physical altercation with one of these goons? All I ever hear about is the bastards getting away with it.
Getting ripped off by your accomplice in an attempted crime does not legally justify physical violence against her accomplice. What do you think you're going to tell the police when they show up? Do you seriously believe they'll just shrug it off?
When men beat up escorts the police and prosecutor overlook what the escort was doing and go after the assailant. Why should they treat someone who beats up an escort's driver differently?
I often make the same error of not properly attaching a comment to the correct post,but the point is well taken. Legality might be the least of your worries if you are badly hurt or worse. Why look for the trouble?
If you genuinely enjoy beating the crap out of people, a job as a professional boxer, pro-football tackle or even a bar bouncer is what you should be examining.
At least you'll get paid for it and get health care to boot!

Why would LE let you get away with defending yourself and your property from a criminal? I am not talking about beating someone because of what the escort is doing. If she tried to bait and switch or upsell and I told her to leave and she left, that would be fine. If she calls her driver to come and threaten me if I don't pay up, that's a different story. I am talking about protecting your hard eaned personal property from a thug. My main question actually was whether the driver would be likely to call LE at all considering he was trying to mug you when you stomped his ass. BTW, I am not normally a violent person but I do believe in people getting what they deserve. I am fortunate that I don't have to tolerate people pushing me around but it still pisses me off to hear about it happening to others who are just trying to have a good time. For the record I would never hit a woman for any reason.

Defending yourself is one thing, calling a woman for an appointment simply to set up a scenario where you beat up her driver is another. Unless he throws the first punch you are not defending yourself, you are the instigator no matter what may have gone on before. Have you stopped to think that there may be a reason why these guys "get away with it"? What makes you think that, if he throws the first punch, you will still be standing to "defend yourself"? Again, I ask, do you have a death wish? I think the better solution would be to mellow out and find better dates...
Actually, Sideone asked that question in response to mine. IMAO,the reason these guys get away with it is because most people don't take the time to learn how to defend themselves and have been taught to avoid conflict at all costs. I have worked as a bouncer and as a bodyguard and I have had more than a few "first punches" thrown at me. BTW, you don't have to be "still standing" to defend yourself but it does make it easier. Your attitude and will to persevere at all costs is the most important aspect of surviving any dangerous situation. I have never deliberately indulged my vigilante fantasies but thought it could be an interesting diversion from the other fantasies I am now able to indulge thanks to my new hobby. I am not crazy, nor do I have a death wish, I just don't abhor violence and I think it is a necessary part of life as long as human beings are free to prey upon one another with little fear of repercussions. I also believe in the death penalty and the right to keep and bear arms for self defense.
Actually, that's not always so. While the cops may charge someone with beating up an escort, getting a jury to convict is gonna be shaky. After all, she's a "ho" and deserved it.
It's sad, but that's how people see women in the industry, that we aren't worthy of the protection of the law. Hell, we treat rape victims in general that way.

Why is physical confrontation so anathema? There are a lot worse things in this world than violence but it seems like the vast majority of people would give up everything they hold dear just to avoid a beating. And you are right I probably am more "dangerous" than the ROB pimp to the wrong person. To "normal" people I am very mellow and congenial. I have never assaulted someone for insulting me or anything like that but I have defended myself on a few occasions and felt no remorse whatsoever about it. BTW, I have spent many hours in the gym and years in several martial arts. It doesn't release hostility, just energy (at least for me) For most people I would agree that they should avoid this scenario but it happens to hobbyists fairly often from what I have read whether they wanted to avoid it or not. The only sure way to avoid it is to quit hobbying and become a recluse.

Actually, acts of violence are the worst things in this world. War, rape, murder, and so on.
Anyway, the fact that you arranged for this confrontation to happen pretty much means LE would be coming for you. If it were to "naturally" happen on it's own, then you might successfully claim you were defending yourself. Might being the operative word. After all, the "ROB" and her pimp are definitely going to claim you went nuts and attacked them without provocation. All in all, the legal risks really aren't worth it.
There's also the matter of these people are usually not stupid. If their plan is to rob you, they will have a back-up plan that usually involves firearms. Despite what they show on TV and in movies, a gun beats a fist.
So, you're deciding to intentionally put yourself in legal and physical jeopardy when you can completely avoid the situation. Not smart. Not terribly sane either.

Do your homework (read reviews and the boards for your area) and it will never happen to you. This kind of thing only can happen with ladies that do not have reviews.

Now that's funny considering the hobby we are involved in. Isn't the whole point of this hobby to put yourself in legal and physical jeopardy on order to have a little bit of fun with another human being???
I assumed that it happened fairly regularly based on the fact that I have only read about 100 or so reviews and I have seen about 15 or so that were ROBs as well as seeing a few every day on CL. I am new to the hobby and I am not claiming to have any superior knowledge to anyone else.
BTW, It's interesting to see how many people will jump at the chance to attack someone they have never met and assume that they are so superior to them based on one simple question. I didn't post the question to see how many people would call me an idiot or question my sanity or morality I was just curious how likely a ROB would be to call LE if they got beat while trying to rob someone. I don't generally argue with people over email or discussion boards as it is a lot like being in the special olympics- even if you win you're still retarded.
