Although the scenario you describe makes it unlikely you will be arrested, it isn't a "fool proof" theory.

The vast majority of crimes have mental elements that are proven from the circumstances surrounding the actions.  The mental states are always subject to determination by a jury.

The thing would be the killer to your theory will be the nature of her ad.  If the ad is a picture of a pretty woman, dressed in bra and panties, offering a real hot time for 400 kisses, that would be sufficient.

The situation with the electrician is different. If you really have an electrical problem and calls an electrician listed in the Yellow Pages, with a contractor's license, it is two people who met in a legitimate encounter, and get it on.

It would be different if she didn't have a license, her ad was in the escort section, had a picture of her wearing nothing but a contractor's tool belt, and read, "Light my lights and your hair will stand on end. 400 Volts."

Hi. I am a newbie with zero experience! Now, the "big head" on me which is driven mainly by paranoia has overtaken the "little head"! I was wondering if anybody could please clarify....

Payment for sex is illegal. Agreement to pay for sex is illegal, etc, etc. These statements are universally accepted and I will make to attempt to argue against them.

So, here is a potential scenario:-
* I fly to Texas

* I make initial contact with a provider via screening forms and e-mail. Each communique from myself will be polite and business-like, as if I was scheduling a meeting. I do not discuss rates, services, etc.

* Further contact, via telephone, will also be polite and business-like. Again, as if I was scheduling a meeting. Again, I do not discuss rates, services, etc.

* Prior to the start of the outcall meeting, the gift has been placed in an (unsealed & unmarked) envelope, in an obvious place for the provider to collect. The gift is simply the call-out charge specified on the provider's website. Nothing more, nothing less. I keep quiet about the envelope. Total silence. I say nothing. This will be done behind closed doors.

* Provider and me start chatting. After some time, I discover that I like the provider and she likes me. Then things become very intimate.

In this scenario, there is no discussion about payment for sex (which is illegal) or actual payment for sex. The only payment is for the call-out charge (as defined by the provider's website, which clearly states that the rate is for companionship only). From this point, any intimate activity will be an act between two consenting adults.

That is the theory. Does this work in practice?

This looks to be a massive grey area. Is this a sufficient loophole? Could I be busted? The trains of clean e-mails should keep me in the clear? The clean phone calls, if monitored, should keep me in the clear? The total silence and my passiveness via the envelope transfer could keep me in the clear? I think when I say "me"/"I" this would also be applicable to the provider? If busted, would the above arguments hold in a court of law? Or am I just being overly paranoid?!?!

How does the above scenario differ from this one?
* Gentleman has problem with ring-main and calls out electrician.
* Lady electician arrives and fixes the broken connection in the ring-main.
* Gentleman pays lady call-out charge.
* Gentleman likes lady, lady likes gentleman. So they go upstairs and make sweet music.

There has been no mention of payment for sex in this situation and there will be absolutely no legal problems whatsoever (unless, of course, SO comes home early!).

I would be grateful to hear your thoughts and experiences on this. My paranoia is kicking-in and my foot is hovering over the brake pedal!

Thanks.

This isn't a gray area and there is no loophole.  Trading money for sex is illegal.  Not talking about trading money for sex doesn't change this fact.  The best you can hope to accomplish this way is to make the evidence of your intent confusing, but juries would see through this strategy approximately 100 out of 100 times.

If it is a sting the scenario you describe isn't going to happen.  There are two sides to arranging the appointment.  The police decoy will make sure that it is obvious what she will be offering when you arrange the appointment.  The police are quite familiar with what evidence they need and they aren't going to send a decoy if they don't feel that it has been made clear to you on the phone what is being sold.

Use the reviews here so that your paranoia doesn't kick in.  If the lady has multiple reviews from reviewers who have done multiple review, then you will be fine.

Thank you all for your thoughts.

I guess a lady (who tours occassionally) with 13 reviews to her name should be a reasonably safe bet.

Five of her thirteen reviews have been carried out by reviewers with 12 or more reviews to their name. (The most experienced reviewer has 41 reviews to his name).

In your scenario, you are with a provider and not a decoy, so there will be no arrest unless you two go to the police and confess all. (don't do that)

There is no gray area.  If there is sex and an envelope of money, there is a crime being committed somewhere and somehow.  You don't ever get to have sex with the female cop - she will get you to say something incriminating that amounts to an offer to pay for sex.  If you don't, she'll probably just lie about it.  Please know that if you ever get as far as  getting into the room with the female decoy, you will be arrested.  It may not hold up, but you will wear cuffs - and for most of us, that is really the worst that can happen.

As you will read in most of the posts below, only see well reviewed providers who screen properly.

Good luck, and relax - you'll enjoy it more.

I've always thought that was odd...  sex for cash is the devil but sex for jewelry is the oldest story there is...  Every kiss begins with Kay...  bring a girl a bracelet worth 250, we all know there's going to be some music.  Every woman in the US if not the world is guilty of that at some point in their life but if you give green instead of gold, you're in the pokey - go figure...

that lady electrician. Does she charge by the hour or the job. She got any reviews--lol.

I like this idea... Providers masking themselves as electricians or better yet, plumbers. Just hope she doesn't show up with a plunger or one of those drain snakes and announce her arrival by saying, "I'm here to snake your hole. Now bend over and spreadem-- ouch!

Although the scenario you describe makes it unlikely you will be arrested, it isn't a "fool proof" theory.

I don't think you'll get busted. You are very cautious will surely spot a sting operation. Most sting ads will have explicit language on what is being offered (BBBJ, FS, etc). If you respond to such an ad and show up at the incall, its enough to get you busted.

One of the more safer approach is to pay after the session. Since most cops will not have sex (i guess).

If you call a lady to your place, the chances of a sting are small. Cops like to be in an environment they can control.
