Thanks for your post, it is informative. I am surprised that no one else has posted anything. I found out that Illinois does not permit bail bonds, so I do not know what are the options for an arrested person to get out of jail quickly on bond. I thought carrying  funds in cash, cashier's check or money orders and hiding  it in truck in some remote location might an option but I am not sure it would work. I guess bond required for the first time solicitation arrest would be around 1000 to 2000. I do drive around provider's location a couple times and watch if there is any LE activities but It would be difficult to notice If LEs are undercover and driving unmarked cars. I will appreciate comments from some of the other members too. Thanks again.

Admittedly, I don't know how accurate the information on this site is but perhaps one of our more legal savvy friends could verify its accuracy?

I've heard it said that you can beat the rap but you most certainly, cannot beat the ride.  Keeping that in mind, it would probably be best to never put yourself in a situation where you can ever take that long, painful ride of shame.  In my humble opinion, the key to that is education and research, sites like this are invaluable in keeping both sides of our fun little hobby safe.  Each city and state works differently so familiarize yourself with your local laws because I can tell you how things work in Dallas but if you go even a few hours out towards New Orleans, you're dealing with a cat of a different coat.  Also, be sure that you have the most accurate information for your area, laws change and when you add to that the amount of misinformation that circulates, it's a recipe for trouble.  (For example, it sets my teeth on edge when I hear a girl say "If you ask someone if they're a cop and they say 'no' but then arrest you anyway, it's entrapment."  B.S. ladies, if it were that easy all providers would be driving a Mercedes and drinking champagne out of diamond flutes by now.)

I'd also like to say that explaining how or why you're carrying several thousand dollars of cashier's check can be problematic and carrying that much in cash into a meeting is just plain foolish.  To my knowledge a bondsman will gladly accept plastic, again though, I'd like to hear from some of the more experienced members of this board.  I had believed that cashier's checks were as good as cash in hand and to me, that would seem to suggest that it could be stolen as easily as cash.

Also, be aware of what's going on around you when you're going into a meeting and when in doubt, chicken out.  All the bad stories I've heard all begin the same way "I should have done my screening, research etc but..." and as soon as I hear the word "but" I know that I should fasten my seat belt because it's going to be a long, strange trip.  Before you walk into that hotel, make a circuit of the parking lot, be aware of unusual traffic, suspicious people, vehicles or activities.  Don't be afraid to ask questions or cancel a meeting if you feel uncomfortable, how much will you really be able to enjoy yourself if you're sweating bullets the entire time?

Personally, I do the math and count the warnings.  For the love of God, if there are more red flags before your session than a Chinese pride parade then walk away.  You can always book another session tomorrow and most decent providers will understand once you explain what happened.

If you get arrested the first step you have to is remain silent, post a bond and get out as soon as possible so that you do not have to do too much explaining  about your whereabouts to your family. I do not know how much bond is required in Illinois and if it has to in cash, cashier's check or credit card. Would it be wise to carry that mush cash or cashier's check? Would it create more problems with the LE? What options would you have to come with a bond if you do not want to call anyone for help? I have not been arrested but I want to be prepared if I run into this situation. Thanks for your help.
