Re: Do providers have rights? *Alias Friendly*

I know I am taking a bold risk by bring this topic up here. It’s definitely a touchy one. This would explain the alias.

I was arrested several months ago in Atlanta. I was charged with two city ordinance violations – a) Escorting without a permit AND b) Massage without a license.

The activities that led up to my arrest are very lengthy. But there are some key ones I do want to point out. It was their usual sting operation at a hotel and I got caught up in it. Upon my arrival / during our meeting, the following occurred:

1. He did not give the money directly to me, nor was it even discussed.

2. He proceeded to get completely undress before I did. However, I did get a condom out of my purse before I proceeded to disrobe. (This act was written on my citation as the escorting without a permit).

3. After I undressed, he pretty much had everything on the menu except the “entrée”. He touched me.  Then he asked me if I would give him a massage, I stated I would and he allowed me do to so. (This act was written on my citation as the massage without a permit). He spoke very explicit and vulgar during the entire act. Came time to cover, he asked to be excused to the restroom, thus letting the others in (all men), while I was waiting, nude, in bed and they busted me. Now imagine I how I must’ve felt.

Ok, yes, I am a companion, who creates both financial and intimate relationships with those I am involved with, ALL CONSENTUAL, but I do still feel violated.  Should I even feel this way? Am I silly for feeling like this? If I would have known that he was a cop, NOTHING would have been consentual.

How far do you think LE should go, just to make a minor arrest for violating a city ordinance? Can some of you share your opinions? Recently, I am finding this story to be all too familiar throughout Atlanta. I have been hearing about arrests being made after the deed(s) are done. Are there any ladies here who can relate? Please share if you are willing. I can understand, if you don’t.

I am counting my blessings, because the outcome could have been worst. I have paid my restitution and had one charge dropped (no jail time – even though, the violation can carry a mandatory 30 days in jail). So I am very thankful. It was a very good lesson learned. Even though it’s been a few months since the occurrence, it still bothers me that if they were going to arrest me, they could have before I even got undress, especially, if the only thing I was charged for was a city ordinance violation. It's not illegal to be an escort, it's a violation of the city ordinance to be an escort without a permit. I am fully aware that at this point, there’s nothing that can be done. Even if I could’ve done something about, what it could have been?  I thought it would be good to share with the community some of the other challenges we face while being a provider.

Thank you for listening and please share.

I'm very sorry to hear about your misfortune.

The thing that burns me is that you were discreetly plying your trade.  Not hanging out in bars or on street corners.  Absolutely inconspicuous except to those seeking your services.  As someone who pays more than his share of taxes and I have a long list of misdemeanors that I'd like taken care of rather than wasted on hassling the discreet escort.  I'd actually like to be able to cross the street near my home without taking my life in my hands.

It is surprising about LE having sex prior to the bust.  You would think the media would pick up on that.  In my area a semi-rural sheriff tried that and it hit the newspapers with plenty of quotes from other LE Depts commenting on how unprofessional it was.  Those upright citizens that expect enforcement of those laws would be shocked to hear that their employees are having sex on the clock.

I wish I could tell you this doesn't happen but it does and quite frequently.

In my situation this cop went out of his way to book me (fake references, etc).

1. We did not discuss money, he placed it on the table in my suite.

2. We did not discuss any sex acts, nothing.

3. Like in your case, he proceeded to get completely undress except for his necklace with a gold cross with Jesus (how ironic, LOL!).

4. He helped me get undressed. Kissed me, sucked and fondled my breasts. Got a bbbj and got rock hard.

Then came a knock at the door. I didn't answer it because I didn't recognize the guy knocking (no one knew where I was staying). He then asks who's that, I said I didn't know. I then decided to call a male friend, picked up my cell and he started touching and kissing me again (to distract me). The knocking got more insistent, he walks over to the door and opens it!

They all come in a total of 8-10 cops eyeballing me. I was nude of course. New cops kept coming into the room, finally one cop let me get dress.

They looked at my nude pictures on my digital camera (and they passed the camera around so all could see them). They wanted to know how much money I had in the room. I told them none, they found $600 from a previous appointment. I don't keep money in my room, the rest was in the bank, thank goodness.

The cop lied and said I would suck and fuck him any way possible (this was on the arrest record). Cops will lie and perform sexual acts to get an arrest.

Yes, I felt violated. I was devastated.

First time offense for me so my charge was reduced to disorderly conduct. I had to pay a fine and my record is sealed (and hopefully can be expunged).

Did this scare me into retiring? Yes it did.

My faith in cops is forever marred and jaded. IMO, Vice cops will do anything to make a bust, they operate like criminals themselves.

So I am thankful also. I learned a good lesson and I stopped providing.

I am sorry that this happened to you.  Ladies I have seen, have kept the condoms in the night table drawer...  I doubt that it would have mattered in your case.  He'd just have waited until you opened the drawer or did a act.

I just want to ask, where you advertize & if this guy passed any sort of screening?  Was LE acting on a complaint (neighbors or hotel)?  Once the guy is in your room, it's too late.

I am glad you asked. It was my first time, EVER, advertising on Eros and they list on my citation that's where they found my advertisement.

Mind you, I was very new to the business (2 months of providing), and the best way I screened -- naive --, at the time, was through employment verification (he had no provider references), hotel verification (it was an outcall), and through his I.D. upon meeting. That's why, this is a lesson well learned for me. The best lesson learned, is the hardest lesson learned. This is the very reason, why I DO NOT do outcalls, period!

Your point is exactly correct, once they have, they have you. But why allow me to go forth with all the extra, if you are going to bust me anyway, for advertising as an escort, but I did not have a permit to do so. But they didn't charge on solicitation, because I felt like, I didn't incriminate myself, in that manner. They only could charge me with escorting without a permit.

Thank you for sharing.

I'm sorry to hear this.  I've heard of stories where cops receiving service then busting.

I have questions if you don't mind - when you say you verified his employment, what was it exactly?  I imagine he gave you some dummy information - name of the company and phone number - did you actually call them?  PM me if you like.

As a kid I had complete faith in the police, justice system, and even government.  No more.

If the police can threaten you with more severe charges, like prostitution, then you are more likely to 'accept' the lesser charge 'escorting without a permit'.  Anything that ends up as only a fine is just business.  Pay it, then forget it.

Whatever feelings you have over the experience is OK.  But do remember, there are lots of us who APPRECIATE your honest service.

All things considered, glad things turned out so well for you.

Thankyou to the ladies for sharing.

Obiviously outcalls (where you go to the client) are easier for LE.  They know what room, they can have bugs or video.  They can have the room next door so they can get to the room in a hurry (so their naked dick doesn't get his nuts twisted off like they deserve).
