As for legalities, it is illegal everywhere (excepting certain counties in Nevada) to exchange anything of value for any sexual service.

How this gets interpreted in each state varies a bit, and you can look up your state's laws, but the theory is the same everywhere.

The bottom line is this:  If the person you meet is LE, you are going down, and I don't care if you say you only intended to play tiddly-winks with her.

The real world situation is that LE will assume that you showed up for sex, and they don't care if the case gets thrown out for lack of evidence.  They did their job and got your face and name in the newspaper, and that's what counts for them.

Bottom line is to play safe and avoid meeting LE.
