END OF MESSAGE

God forbid I ever find myself in a situation.. here are a few questions.

1. I own my own home..Right here in the county... will that help me get out in a timely fashion. Obviously I am not a flight risk?

2. I don't do drugs of any kind,  I don't keep info on my phone or computer, I never, ever take my computer to my appointment and delete everything.  There aren't even more then two condoms in my place ever at a time?
will that help or does any of this matter?

3. I screen, screen, screen. One can never be too careful..

I used to have that get out of jail friend but don't anymore. what else can  a girl do to make things as less painful as it can be god forbid..

I would assume that the resume you have listed your "count down of assets and life style"
is to know if it will have any bearing on an arrest or bail?
1. I own my own home..Right here in the county... will that help me get out in a timely fashion. Obviously I am not a flight risk?
-------Whether you are a flight risk will be decided by other people, not by you (sorry about that). You never know how a simple thing can get exploded into a very serious charge even if it is merit-less. Elimination of merit-less charges is very costly; many plead no contest just to avoid challenging the government. Now if you are one of the fortunate ones who still has equity in your home, i.e. it is worth more than you paid (that means you purchased it at least eight to ten years or more ago, then you are very fortunate. If that is the case you can get a bail bondsman to take a lean on it if you get a stiff bail as a guarantee of payment of the bail. Keeping in mind that in most jurisdictions, prostitution is a misdemeanor and bails cost are not terrible, maybe several hundred dollars for a first offense on a $1000 dollar bail. So that is not a real problem. However, the down side of owning property is that it attracts law suits that may claim you are liable and they go after the property for the payoff. Example, you are being penetrated by the local minister who dies with his last thrust, his widow thinks you are responsible for the drugs or booze in his gut and sues you. Goodbye house! or an attorney who wants to get paid for more services than you can perform to his satisfaction (sorry but that is the way a lot of gals think they can pay his fee, on their back. It only works a few times for the unethical attorneys, then they want moola)

2. I don't do drugs of any kind, I don't keep info on my phone or computer, and I never, ever take my computer to my appointment and delete everything.  There aren't even more then two condoms in my place ever at a time?
will that help or does any of this matter?
------No drugs is good, of course it does not keep a dirty cop from planting them.
No info on phone or computer—are you sure? Anyway who cares, you just lost your bargaining chip with the cops who might have traded you for the info and let you walk free.
No condoms, how do you stay in business? Doing bare back? You are my kind of girl but lets hope not for your sake. Well if you have none or just a few rubbers, let’s hope the cops don’t charge you for spreading disease, an assault crime, even though I am sure it would be a bogus charge. I think it is the gal on the street with fifty condoms in her purse who has to worry, not you in your house with ten or twenty.

3. I screen, screen, screen. One can never be too careful..
-----First you screen, and then you scream. How did that one get past you? Believe me some cop will get past your screen if he wants to, they are experts at that.

I used to have that get out of jail friend but don't anymore. what else can  a girl do to make things as less painful as it can be god forbid..
------Get a bails bondman or attorney to be you get out friend. They are used to it and you just pay them for the service. Friends come and go.

Last words...being a prostitute has a lot of down sides but if you are smart you will have some buckaroos to make up for the fuckaroos and the fuckup-aroos that will happen. If you want the loot you will have to put up with the poop. You will get caught, you will end up in jail, booked and bailed and sentenced. It is just the way things are. If you can’t do the time or fine, don’t do the crime. I love escorts, I married one. But part of the deal was that she gives up fucking other guys for cash. If you do stay in business you are going to be caught, be an embarrassment to your kids and loved ones and there is no way out of it. The cops are getting better every day at Internet sex cracking the hither too safety the net afforded. I fight for your right to be a prostitute but America is not up to your standards or mine.
My suggestion, set up an exit strategy, save every penny of your earnings and quit before you need false teeth, you don’t want to die with someone in your saddle or being known as “Granny blow-job”. And expect set backs every once in a while, they come with the territory.  And one last caveat, I used to know pros who were diligent about hygiene and always used condoms, even for blow jobs, no problems for ten, twenty years or more and then boom, a condom busts with a guy you thought was safe and you are HIV positive. You can live with it but who needs it, life, as a HIVneg is tuff enough. If I was a young gal I might well be out there with you, getting fucked day and night and stacking up the 100’s, but it comes with risk and danger and if the only way to avoid problems is to be independent, it also means you have to go it on your own and it takes a lot of strength and fiber to do that! I admire you, and all of you who are sex workers, it ain't easy!

Truer words were never posted.  I'd love to convey the details of my cash and dash massage gone bad, but I'm not currently a VIP member so I can't hide behind a 100 different aliases.  Believe me, it's a frightening story on many levels.

Suffice it to say, it cost me $25,000 in attorney's fees, plus the 10% penalty for an early withdrawal out of my 401(k) in order to defend myself against something that never happened.  But the thug ex-con driver they sent to my house, and the drugged-out psycho owner of the agency that employed him, worked on their story before they called the cops (they were pissed because I got my money back after they robbed me).

The cops were more than happy to believe every lie they were told and I had to prove none of it happened- not an easy task.  Yes, you are guilty until proven innocent, at least in OC California.  Grand total for the incident, including the property the cops illegally confiscated from my house was $28,200, plus many weeks of my time!  All for a FBSM gone bad.

So yes, shit happens, and when it does, it gets very expensive very quickly.

LB was pretty pessimistic today.

You should live within your means, save every bit of money you can, pay your taxes, SS, disability, retirement.  You won't want to do this "forever" it it would be wise to plab an exit strategy.

If you are not hard pressed for money, then you should be able to pass on clients who just don't seem right.

No drugs, that's good.

Screen, screan, absolutely.

If you have minor children, you should have a designated person to step in, in case of accident or whatever.  Someone the children are comfortable with.

Have a relationship with an atty who is willing to represent you if need be.

A famous escort used to tell me she assessed her risk by taking a good look at her self nude in the mirror before her clients arrive. Pessimistic? no not at all but when you play with fire for a living one must always assume you may get burned now and then. If the biz was so dangerous we would not have some of our famous professionals in practice for over 30 years! On another subject, what ever happened to spell check?

My understanding from talking to different providers over the years: screen potential clients by requesting more than one references from reputable providers.

So, the answer is never get into risks in the first place, and don't accept anyone out of desperation.

There are other obvious benefits from doing screening as mentioned above.  Otherwise, how would you know a client won't short on your envelope? how would you know a client got good personal hygienes?  How would you know a client is the types meet your minimum requirements? ...
