There is a woman (friend of her family) who is slandering my name and threatening my fiancee by text message and phone even though there is no physical harm done yet is there a way to get a protective order or restraining order against this woman?

She has become a real nuisance as in slandering my name planning for a wedding she has gone to places of business telling them not to do business with me because she has accused me of hitting my fiancee which I have never done she has called the police on me and cops find no evidence of me hitting my fiancee she has also claimed that I have done damage to their house and vehicles which again I have never done and they have no proof.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated I know its not real legal advice but just anything leading me to a right direction I haven't gotten with my attorney yet but threats came in over the weekend and just want to make sure I have ground before going to see an attorney and paying the fees for something I can maybe do without an attorney.
Thank you all so much.

you can do this with out an attorney but better to use one, make sure you have fully documented all threats and you can proceed to sue for damages if this behavior continues; sounds like you are dealing with a mental problem here. This is going to cost you a bit but it might be worth it if you are in a small town. More info available if you need it.
