Help!  This man will not leave me alone--it has been a year since I first refused interaction with him.  He has taken drastic action to attempt to interfere with my personal life, and while he has always stopped short of actually TAKING that action, he has made more-than-frightening threats about doing so.

Don't tell me to get a restraining order...this man is not sane, and doing that will surely cause him to spend the rest of his life attempting retribution.  Furthermore, as he cannot be fired, and has no spouse/children/family who would motivate him to worry about tangling with me, it's starting to feel like he has "all the cards" in this situation.

What can one do?

Can't you just move?

Across the street, across town, across the state?? Something?

If what you say regarding a restraining order is true, then doing something TO him isn't gonna work.

Why should SHE have to move???  If she does that then she's the one being punished when she did nothing wrong!!!!  I know that would be the easy thing to do, but it may not work either... if he's as determined as he seems, then he'd probably find her no matter what...

That's not a possible solution, but thanks for your thoughts.

Seriously though, sometimes it takes a man to make a jerk like this walk away.  Good luck, I can't imagine what you're going through.

This is what a friend of mine had to resort to in a very similar situation.  Good luck

Of course this isn't legal adivice because... I'm not a lawyer

of course she doesn't HAVE to move... that's not at issue. My point was entirely to bring up a solution not involving a lawyer or the cops.

"Moving" being one example, "Guido" (posted leter) is another, although obviously THAT would be illegal 8-)

I don't know any of the facts, but the little Nobody revealed. Moving is not an option, but the facts presented clearly indicate that a legal recourse would be the worst path. Naturally I have no idea if this is true... but it is presented as being an option that Nobody doesn't want to discuss. A restraining order is clearly the first step along the lawyer/cop path.

Go to the grocery store that sells frozen skinned rabbits, (some people LIKE rabbit stew) send him one in the mail. It'll be thawed by the time it gets there and on the way to rot!! (wear gloves when you package and address it!! (Chicken gizzards work well, too)
start calling and hanging up. (from a blocked phone, of course!!)
Get caller ID, don't answer unless you know who is on the other line.
Follow him in the morning and all day as long as you can!
Do whatever he does to you times 100,000
Step it all up a notch!! Nothing Illegal!!
Cut out letters from a magazine, paste them together (wear gloves) send it along. Something Like "I SEE YOU, DO YOU SEE ME???"
When he's outside, walk right up to him and take a picture! Laugh, and walk back into the house!
Don't be a stalkee, Don't act scared and give him a tast of his own medicine!!
(Trust me, He'll find someone easier!)

HEHEHEHEHEHEHE
NEVER THE STALKEE!!!
