So here's the story. I have been seeing this girl I found on craigslist for a sugar daddy/baby type relationship. She is not a pro escort, just an everyday girl. I saw her twice, and have been talking to her, but we recently had a falling out. She's claiming she has recordings of our encounters on her phone and of money being exchanged and that she will seek legal action against me. Even if she did, there is guaranteed to be no video of it. She may have emails though where money is discussed. She does not know my real name. She doesn't have my phone number (we've only chatted online). She doesn't know my current address. In fact, I used a relatives place while they were out of town. Am I in any sort of danger here? She is the one who responded to the ad I posted on craigslist.

moral sort (shaking up and possibly ending your marriage, losing the respect of your relative whose place is now under suspicion, etc.) - unless she's willing to go to the police and be arrested for providing.
In other words, she's trying to shake you down or in simpler terms, she's trying to blackmail you.
Now, given what you already know about her, do YOU think you're in danger?
I'm not married. I'm young and single. And she's not seeking to blackmail me for anything, just making claims that I'm in trouble. Do I think I'm in trouble? I'm not sure. But I don't see how I can get in trouble without her being arrested also. But she claims she "knows how to present her case while protecting herself"...
If I hypothetically did that in the past, and she had records of it being discussed through email, could anything happen?
Once again, what on earth could she be filing legal charges against you for?
"Officers, I used to sell pussy to this man, and now he ain't buying. Please court order him to buy more" does not really make a solid base for legal action
Lina
Haha what she said was "I have a lot against you and I know exactly how to present it while protecting myself."
It didn't make much sense to me either, but I'm paranoid about this kinda shit.
Sounds like she is professional con/blackmail artist
I would post several other ads on CL and bait her into responding. But then I can be vindictive bitch lol
Like with everything else, two can play the same game
Lina
That's a good idea. I'm going to try that.
She will tire of it and go away.
And with the exception of telling your friends and relatives that you consort with prostitutes, there is actually nothing she can do with regards to getting you in trouble with LE, NOTHING.
well I guess she can make up a false claim of rape, but so can any psycho off the street, and her emails to you pretty much nullify that threat as well.
My advice is to find a nice young, well reviewed, non psycho bitch to make all your cares go away, and simply forget this psycho ever entered your life.
First of all, whatever you did, assuming she is of legal age, is at worst, a misdemeanor. While it is possible for a prosecutor to file charges on a misdemeanor after the fact, 99.99% of misdemeanor arrests are based on an officer witnessing the crime. Unless you have 'The Honorable' or something in front of your real name, I doubt any DA will take any interest in this IF it was presented to him/her. Beyond that, present what? Printed copies of emails from SOMEONE typing on an email account? Prove it was YOU and not your brother-in-law or co-worker using the account. Oh yeah, and now she has to go in to the DA and confess to being a prostitute and complaining that her client quit buying her pussy. Right.
Bluff and Bluster, IMHO.

She could go to the police and say she committed prostitution and wants you to be arrested with her. That's all I can see she can claim from what you have said.
If an investigation were to proceed, your use of your relatives house blows your anonymity, as does your email.
But really, she just sounds like a scam artist that is going to shake you down for money.
I have been through something similar. I panicked and told my SO before she got the threatened contact from the blackmailer. The blackmailer never followed through on the threats. If this were to happen to me again (and I have gone black helicopter about protecting my identity as a result of my experience), I would hold on and do nothing and see if the blackmailer is willing to confess to the police she has committed a crime. Stop all contact with her. Ignore any attempt by her to goad you. She has nothing but threats, and doesn't sound like she is smart enough to have any workable plan that could possibly be effective unless she is willing to go down for prostitution.
Based on what you have written here (you know what you said or did not say or write to her; we don't.)
First, have your computer scrubbed. Set up a new fake email.
Second, never communicate with this woman again. She certainly seems to be threatening you with or just about something.
Third, don't assume she does not already know who you are.
Depending on how understanding your relative is, consider warning him so that he or she has no idea of who you are.
In most states, she could sue (and quickly lose) a breach of contract suit, unless she could show the contract did not involve sex.
Most states do have laws against soliciting a prostitute, but she would definitely be exposing herself to a criminal charge as well.
You use the word "girl"; if she wasn't of legal age, you could be in deep shit.
My uneducated guess is that she is seriously pissed and venting and will go away if you ignore her.
Finally, if the cops or anyone else asks you about this, STFU
That stupid bitch can't do shit to you bro. She's just trying to blackmail you. You know how many stupid bitches pulled that shit on me? Shit, they can try, but they will never win. Even in some cases the bitches know my real name and other personal stuff, that don't mean shizznick.
If she showed that video to the cops, they'll probably arrest her dumb ass for prostitution. Trust me bro, even if she does have videos, does that prove anything? Its he say's, she say's. Your fine bro. Believe me, I had similar experienced in the past, however, I always prevail. One time, this girl I was seeing for about a year, I decided I didn't want to see her anymore because she was getting too trashy. She text me telling me she was gonna call my work that I was seeing prostitutes. Who do you think they're gonna believe?
Just tell them you met this crazy girl at the bar and she's a fucking wackjob. No need for further explanation. If things do get out of hand, get a real good lawyer and turn that bitches world upside down for ever fucking with you.
Will do, thanks.
I would opt to ignore her and she'll go away.
Save any emails, etc. from her that are threatening, just in case.
She lives upstate about 2-3 hours away from me. Not sure if that matters in this
IMHO: From what you have posted, all she can do is tarnish your good name with your friends and relatives.
Is she of legal age?
If not the LE will be on her side big time.
Yes she is. Very legal, no worries there.
So unless you admitted contracting for sex, you should be totally in the clear.
It's against the law to contract for an illegal act be it murder or prostitution. Even if you tried to write such a contract, it would be unenforceable in a court of law. Any lawyer will tell her (and you) this. Just be careful about getting into Caddies with her 'Uncle' and friends.
If you committed a felony crime, like leaving a masseuse dead on the floor, a warrent would be gotten to track your ISP, or even with a hobby phone, the cell towers you used... to triangulate your location. If you committed no crime, other than stupidly giving money to a girl, LE is not going to waste their resources finding you... and then release you because no crime was committed.
"You're in trouble now, Bud!" is just a blind thread. Recordings of your calls?? I really doubt but she "might" but still would not prove anything. Even if an offer / acceptance of prostitution occurred, it would be stupid for either party to make these available to LE. In some states, this type of recordings are illegal without your conscent. Her more recent communications should be kept because it is proof of extortion & the penalties are much greater than prostitution.... generally a felony. (See link below) http://www.criminal-law-lawyer-source.com/terms/extortion.html
There are "pretty young things" who like to live off marks, while doing as little as possible. This will go nowhere because she has nothing. Being single, she can't even blackmail you effectively. I'd hold off for now but you might have to confess to your realitive that you took a date to their place & she's trying to shake you down... but I seriously doubt that she pursue this.
Definitely helped put my mind at ease. The crazy bitch hasn't contacted me today, which I take as a good sign.
