I know I should know the answer and think I do, but I will ask anyway.
If a guy mentions that he can bring me prescription drugs in his email to me should I be worried? I know LE try to make bigger cases with drugs, but do they care about prescription drugs?
What do you think? Should I be concerned he’s LE since he mentioned drugs (prescription) in his email?
Thanks.
...are just as illegal (if not more) as marijuana etc. if dispensed without a prescription.
You should be more concerned that this guy is a fucking idiot for offering drugs to a stranger. How does he know you are not LE?
Also, he seems to be stereotyping escorts as being drug-addicted hookers. Just say no to this moron.
Normally LE doesn't offer to bring you the drugs, they want you to bring the drugs for them.
An idiot, on the other hand, well, they are idiots.
Sale of prescripton drugs without the required Rx is illegal... Why would you have anything to do with ANYONE who might bring LE following them?
NO, NO, NO

...of prescription drugs (controlled substances) that are not prescribed to you is a crime and possibly a felony. All you have to do is watch a few episodes of COPS and you will see then run idiots in when they find prescription drugs on them that are not in a pharmacy bottle with the person's name on it that documents the prescription.
Does that mean if you are going on a weekend trip and all you take is a few days of your blood pressure, acid reflux, whatever meds in a pill box divided into days of the week are you going to get run in? Probably not. Walk around with a baggie of Xanax and its a different story.
MVR
They had their meds all set up in one of those multi-day, multi-hour dosage reminders and TSA bagged them at the airport. They were allowed to call their children who then came down to the airport with the prescription bottles for the meds to show that they were legit. Of course, in the meantime they missed their flight.
Be carefull all of you who travel with meds like that.
I do travel with a Rx pharmacy for a medical condition... and yes, I use daily medication boxes. I don't generally fly but a traffic accident could really screw things up with that thing in my brief case & no Rx bottles. I'm going to carry the bottles in my carry on in the future.
Thanks,
skb
The fake cops of the TSA had no reason to question the pills since they were not a safety threat to the airplane. I wonder how someone would hijack a plane with pills... This is typical of the "new" TSA going way beyond what they should have.
There was a recent article about this where the TSA gestapo is now getting their ass kicked by oversight groups because of their over-reaching their "mission".
Of course I always liked what Carlin used to say, where he would always take Flintstones vitamins with him. No doubt that they were vitamins.
What they do instead is alert the local police who also patrol the airport, in this case the Mass State Police, and turn it over to them.
that is mean harassment & way out of line.
It makes me MAD that they did this to 2 elderly folks that clearly have things difficult enough.
Most older folks have medications & the airlines insist on one travel light, plus To take an excessive amount of medication on a trip only risks the chance of loss or theft.
Which can be costly & a big headache.
Most folks take what they need & maybe a bit extra in case of a delay. why take a huge 3 month supply for a weekend trip.
tsa is required to contact the local police when they find illegal drugs. they cannot search you for illegal drugs however, if they are searching you because they had an airport security concern or if they are doing random searches and they find illegal drugs, they cannot discriminate because of age.
when you get a perscription filled, i believe they give you multiple copies of the perscription. if not, make copies of it.
at the very least, you should know the pharmacy name and location and the cops should be able to call the pharmacy and verify your prescription.. of course, by this time, you will have missed your flight.
yes this was an unfortunate situation and i would not want anyone to get into it, but if they let old people get away with it, it just wouldnt be fair.
in this case, if they could not have verified the perscription for some reason, these people could have gone to jail.. .probably released on o.r. a few hours later, assuming no prior offenses and they are in their home state, and then once released they could take to their prescription to the court and the charges would be dropped.
sadly, if you are not in your home state, some states will hold you on bond because you're a flight risk (hehe) .. anyway, if you cant get word out from the jail to someone, you could sit a while.
my mother is a nurse and has never even had a traffic ticket but she i made sure she knows a landline phone #.
it is the only way to get word out from a jail once you are in.
lots of innocent people go to jail every day. there are lots of opportunities to make phone calls from jail.
unfortunately jail phones only call out collect, cell phones cant accept collect calls and since you are cut off from all other methods of communication with no access to your belongings, if you dont have someone's landline phone# memorized you might be in jail a while before you can prove your innocence and get out.
also knowing a landline while you're in jail will make you the most popular person in jail (and its the best way to ensure you wont be ass raped)
group of our population is unfair?????
Unfair to who??? ....Some chick that uses terms like "ass raped"
There is enforcing the law & using common sense.
There is nothing suspicious about an elderly couple with their prescribed medication boarding a plane that would merit such extreme action.
it has become very rigid due to abuse.
yes unfair to the chick that uses terms like ass raped.
i said it was an unfortunate situation however its not fair that grandpa gets to be a drug smuggler if i cant.
just cuz he's old and i have a foul mouth doesnt mean he's any more innocent than me.
it wasnt that long ago they got grandma running a meth lab here and guess what ?
i dont run a meth lab, i just run my mouth
sorry if the term ass rape offends you but
ass rape
ass rape
ass rape
ass rape
im still more innocent than grandma
that intentionally air travels without proper ID.
#1 The gentle couple did not commit a crime,
They just merely traveled with their pill dose pack rather than big prescription bottles. (They did not realize these days they need written proof, in addition)
Yes, judgment is used by LE when deciding who to investigate further & who needs more extreme intervention.
I am saying it could have been handled without all the brute force when it was in all probability an innocent mistake.
You sound absolutely lovely ....AnnaBANGBANGBANG
too many judgements being passed without enough facts.
ms judgemental tsa supervisor
"oh dont bother that sweet old man, cant you see he's wearing his bowling shoes ? it's just his bowling ball. we need more common sense here, not the bomb squad and go tell that blonde tart she cant come on this plane wearing that, she'll give the elderly a heart attack"
if you just look at the facts, you're less likely to make a mistake and get a plane full of people blown up.
you sound absolutely lovely as well cathy
flying without id is not a crime. they said OK to me and did not call the police.
its against the law to have prescription drugs unless you have a prescription. prescriptions have always been written so the method of proving a prescription has not changed, not that ignorance of the law is a valid defense anyway.
the person that had "sympathy". for an elderly couple that had an unfortunate misunderstanding and missed their flight.
I see if you chose to live your life in such a careless manner but am astonished that you think anyone would follow your marked unreasoned thinking.
At best he is guilty of very bad judgement, at worst he is either LE or a complete whack job. Either way you are best off giving this guy a wide berth.
do you know how heavy a dead body is ?
c'mon
nobody is gonna be able to pick up 2 dead bodies like they are sacks of potatoes and tote them over to your incall.
i wouldnt worry about that.
if he offered to bring a couple of decapitated heads, i'd worry.
but he agreed not to bring any inside so i am not worried.
much.
im not planning to go outside and check the hearse though.
