Legal question

I met this provider already 4 times in NYC, she has been in the business for a short time, 7-8 months after she turned 18. I am sure about her age because the agency is very reputable. Anyway I want to flight her to LA for 2-3 days aside from the agency and she agreed. Unfortunately recently she told me that her mother found out about her being a provider, and the mother is furious about it. She wants her to quit at all cost making threat about non giving her college money, about going after clients, theat to the agency, etc. The provider turned 18 already, can still her mother legally cause any problem to me if the provider flight to LA to meet me?

Thanks

then she is not as discreet a provider that I would feel comfortable with.

Crossing interstate lines for the purposes of prostitution raises the stakes and makes it a federal offense, in the unlikely event that you are prosecuted. However, being 18, she could succumb to the pressure of scumbag U.S. attorneys as well as her mother and testify against you.

This is the worst-case scenario. On the other hand, I would say she's 18 -- go for it, dude!

Steer clear.  This is not only a legal issue but could be a serious embarrassment for you.  Unless you're but a few years older than the 18 year old, you're looking rather like a dirty old man.  Careful here.

Enticing or transporting a lady to travel across state lines is a federal felony under the Mann Act.

(Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer)

The mother can't bar her daughter from flying to see you, but she could cause legal problems for you.  She could find out who you are (perhaps by following her daughter) and report you and her daughter to LE.

Since interstate travel is involved, this would be a much bigger deal than the usual misdemenor solicitation, as one of either the Travel act or Mann act would be involved (not sure of those act names), which makes it a federal case.

Thanks for the reponses. What I stated in my original question was what had happened and what I want to do which is have her fly here to CA from NYC for a few days. Now, if we put aside for just one moment all the details and her being a provider, can a 18 year and 6 months old woman fly to CA from NY and simply meet an older friend against the will of her mother? The mother foundd out about her being a provider. I think, and I am no expert, if we put it this way it should be legal.

Thanks gain

PS:I am single and well respected person obviously I have no intention to get in trouble, still this girl is a knock out, and I want to see her. I will see her next time in NYC, but still I would not mind to see her sooner.

Again, since she's over 18, the mother has no direct say in her travels.  The daughter could go anywhere she feels like for any reason.  That's not the danger.  The danger is in what the mother might do once her daughter has gone to see you.
