Meeting marriage minded women on the internet is not illegal, no matter where the other parties are located.
A sham marriage for the purposes of getting a green card most assuredly is.
Paying a fee for introductions to beautiful women who want to immigrate to the US...  is pretty much frowned on.  May be technically legal in the country of origin but a very hard sell here...  esp post 9-11.
A couple deciding to travel this path had best expect to have to convince ICE that it is a real marriage...  a whole lot of whoops to jump through.
I know real couples who are working their way through this.
And then there is the issue of whether the couples stay together after getting them here.

 The practice of finding mail order brides has a long history for bringing women from distressed regions to areas where women were not as easily available as the money to import them. In the old days women would advertise themselves in the classified, but nowadays most of these arrangements are done on the Internet.  Before the Internet, magazines dedicated to these lonely hearts clubs were newspaper catalogs printed on light weight air mail paper and were often found in barbershops and Chinese restaurants. Why? I have no idea but as a teenager it made for great reading while waiting for Salvatore to give you a crew cut and it was very useful for hiding your erection.

Today most of these marriages are often brokered by agents or agencies, some of whom are good, others bad and then there are the ugly ones. The problem with some of the agencies is that the agent may not investigate the adequately, In some case this allowed abusive husbands to slip through the net to terrorize foreign imports.Most of the lawsuit have been instituted by women rather than by men. A number of lawsuits by abused brides have wound their way into the courts with large settlements being awarded when the agency was found negligent. Likewise, some brides are not the virgins they are cracked up to be (I don't know who is in charge of investigating that aspect) and have previous husbands and children who do not surface until several years later, BUT WHAT WOULD YOU EXPECT?

 Eastern Europe is the focus today for Russian women where as Asia used to be the prime area for "Cherry Blossom" brides. Some of these Ukrainian gals have beautiful blond faces and can weigh upwards of three hundred pounds, if not on arrival just give them a little time and a trough; this is great if you are a farmer, particularly if you are into pig farming. However, this is a common problem for brides whose sex drives are stronger then their husband’s. I suppose, in retrospect, he should have taken some of his friends to the pre-marriage interview, we all thought the world of her. She was famous for unorthodox sexual positions, a sort of Kama Sutra gal who performed on a slick leather couch but that is a story for another time as are leather couch  burns….

 I am told that the nice thing about ordering underwear on the Internet is that if it does not fit you can just mail it back. Mail order brides are not as easy to dispose of. I would not advise you to enter into a mail order bride without a condom until you are sure you are pleased with the goods. A pregnant bride is never easy to fit into today's tiny aircraft seats if you decide to send her back. On the other hand, it is a great way to learn a foreign language or become an ESL teacher, but it is always distressing when you realize that some bub on the street can communicate better with your wife than you can; but of course he doesn't get the fun of sleeping with her, well he is not supposed to. But we must keep an open mind on all variations of selecting a bride and the Internet is certainly a great place to meet people or their computers. I have heard of several marriages that have worked out nicely through the modern miracle of electronics and then there is always the old fashioned method of throwing a dart at a telephone book and marrying whose ever name the dart penetrates and in an era of same sex marriage this is always a valid possibility.

This can be legal, and it can be fun to tour places, like Russia, to see the girls in person. A friend of mine did this after one of his friends actually married a woman he met on what they call M&Gs in different cities over there. You go to a "club" and they bring in many woman. Anyone who chooses this path should have their affairs squared away first. My friend's 62 y.o. father traveled to China where he married a woman he had met through a service. No one in the family even knew he was using the service or that he had gone to China to wed. It was a big surprise when he returned.  The thing was she didn't come back with him. For months she remained in China and her English would suddenly improve when she called or emailed for money. Even crazier was that he went there and married a few months after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. He was dead less than a year after the marriage and she had never even set foot on US soil. He had left no will to clarify her place in his estate, so a protracted international legal cluster fuck ensued as the new wife fought for as much of the pie as she could get. He wasn't a wealthy man, a 3 bedroom cookie cutter house and a 10 year old mini van. Through the whole thing his kids had to maintain the property. A real nightmare. I'm sure you have more sense, but decide what you want with your estate beforehand. You may be healthy but freak accidents happen. It was a horrible thing for his kids to deal with on top of their grief.

To get right to the point, wills and trusts are complicated things and the law varies with each state. In general, if he died with a will in order he could have left all to the Chinese wife provided he named all other children and left them the usual dollar award; however, if he died intestate (with no will) his estate would be divided up by the probate court and in that case, division of assets might be different, for example in California fifty percent would go to the wife and the remaining fifty to be divided among the children. Of course other aspects of the marriage could be contested on various grounds including whether it was a real marriage, a sham, whether the marriage was consummated, if the husband's mental state was considered healthy etc.....Keep in mind that legal fees could decimate the estate.

  Ah yes, these old fuckers sure get themselves in hot water, just when they thought they were getting into a warm vagina. Trouble is they usually are not amenable to getting their estates in order because by the time they have buried their spouse they are sick of anything that issued from her, i.e. their own children.   Sex is a lot in the head and even if they don’t really need a sex partner, they believe they do. Old age homes and retirement joints are filled with condom less intercoursing geriatrics. When the guys are not fucking the women, the women are fighting over the guys, those old fucks homes, I mean old folks homes, are dangerous places to camp.

  In any event old pee-ers are easy fodder for con men and women in this and over seas cunt-ries. I am sadly sick of the many stories of the early demented loosing their life savings to crooked con operators, often their nurses or helpers. But, if you are not willing to take care of the old folks, and that is often a full time job, what do you expect.

 These old folks are not the ones you knew as a child, they are already in their second childhood and moving towards their third. It is a tuff problem and a lot of old folks not yet fully demented, think a foreign wife will lavish more care on them then their own families and sometimes they are right. I know personally of Filipino women who married a seventy five year old and took good care of them right up to the pearly gates. So sometimes the old geezers are right, but so often wrong…and if and when they realize they have made an ass out of themselves, they feel like they got their cock caught in an elevator door.

The odd thing is he was one of those "forever young" guys that seem to be so common in places like Florida and California. A life long athlete, divorced years ago and dating girls half his age in his 40's and 50's. Up until he was diagnosed he was in better shape then his son. We were all drinking buddies at the beach bars, ball games, etc. His kids were as much his friends as family. I think getting cancer really threw him into a strange place emotionally. So healthy, non-smoker, everyone was shocked. We've speculated about his motivations that last year, but nobody really knows. They found a hand written note in his desk, dated a few months before he died, requesting to be buried near his parents. That was it. The rest was left for the kids to sort out. I guess he really fumbled that one. Aside from that final fiasco, he was a great guy and we miss his company.
