Could I get busted for meeting a lady for lunch? I'm a newbie and before I take the plunge I thought I wouldn't mind meeting a couple of ladies to see if there is any chemistry. I also thought it may provide a little protection from LE if I met them a couple of times for coffee and a conversation. I realize paying $400 dollars for someone to have coffee with you seems a little extreme but if it would provide a layer of protection then I would gladly do it. Is this a reasonable plan or would LE just bust me no matter what?
Ladies get offers all the time to meet a guy for coffee. Trouble is, most of those offers are with zero compensation.
If you make a lady such an offer, make certain it is clear you are offering her full rate. Essentially, booking her for an outcall to a coffee shop.
On the other hand, that is a great place for a lady who is a cop to catch you off your guard and have you say just the wrong thing. Because, yes, what you SAY can get you busted. LOL
There is certainly nothing wrong with paying someone money to have lunch or dinner with you. Or to go to the theater. Or a social function. Hell, I paid someone (not an escort) to go to a business dinner with me once because I was single and didn't want to go alone because the management believed in "families".
If you have sex with someone you went on a date with, that's also not illegal. So, if you take someone out for dinner and pay her the full rate for her time, and don't discuss sexual activity and then end up back in her room and have sex, I can't see how a prostitution charge would stick.
On the other hand, there are a lot of providers who offer "dinner dates" at a multi-hour discount. But, they mention on their site that they offer GFE, or BBBJ, or other sexual activities and I think if you took such a lady out for dinner, then went back to the room for sex in the same multi-hour block of time, that a DA might still make a good case that there was prostitution. The website would be good evidence that you were paying for and expecting more than just dinner conversation.
That's one of those reasons why several lawyers I've talked to think the "disclaimers" you now see on just about every provider's website are worthless as long as they mention elsewhere on their site that they offer sexual services and use terms like GFE, PSE, etc.
