LE phobia

In one of the threads, a guy mentioned LE concern. For any lawyers out there in the TER community, has there been sting where LE posted as provi or hobbi? If so, what are telltale signs? What are lessons learned? I suppose if I stay with provi with a couple pages of reviews, it should be pretty safe.

and yes, sticking with a provider with many pages of reviews is your best bet to stay away from LE.

One tale tell sign is when you contact a provider and the provider discusses money and/or sex acts openly.  LE will often discuss this and record it in order to make an air tight case before a bust, so I you notice this behavior just hang up and ignore the person from then on.

(still not a lawyer)

to look for RECENT REVIEWS.

I've just had some correspondence (posted under the newbie section) of what I would call "resurrected" providers from another site.

I'm a newb to this, but I have found that MOST providers emails are actually playful, and just as vague as yours when it comes to business details.

The two that I was emailing were ALL business, demanding in information and NOT answering any of my vague questions.

So also look for consistency in their profile. and, as everyone has said, trust your instinct.

it is important to know that many of us ladies who have been around for a while see the same guys regularly so we don't always get a lot of new reviews.  I know of several ladies in my area who haven't been reviewed for a long time who are safe to see.  I also see a lot of 'friends' who are not TER members and never post reviews or are they are TER members and are too afraid to post a review.  One thing I hear A LOT is my 'friends' tried to post reviews several times only to have TER decline them.  These guys just gave up due to the frustration.  See link below....

I do think it is a good idea to see well reviewed ladies.  However don't dismiss a well reviewed lady who has not been reviewed for several months.  Now with that being said, I guess us ladies could ask our regulars to post newer reviews.  The new review would delete their old one when it is posted.  I really do not like to ask for reviews.  I rarely (if ever) discuss them unless my 'friends' bring it up.  I always feel like I have enough reviews to show I am legit.  But maybe it is time to ask my close friends to post one from time to time so there is always a recent one to make possible new friends feel more comfortable about seeing me.

to learn our methods.

but most of us are more concerned about avoiding breaking the law.

but since some still don't seem to get it, it might be best to protect them by not telling details for LE to see.  This is assuming you're talking about store-front, neighborhood massage shops you typically see in strip malls.

I posted about my recent experience on Aug. 27th if you want to do a search.

Because I lived in Orange County, CA for 21 years, I had more than my share of close calls.  In fact, I've had four close call situations involving LE.  Three were stings I narrowly avoided, but I saw various things that weren't right.  And the fourth was one I wouldn't have avoided, but I got lucky.

In that situation, I had been in contact with a lady and set up an appointment for a couple weeks in the future when I found out on this board that she'd been busted.  This was back around 2002.  Several guys got arrested in that sting because the cops took her phone and computer and continued setting up dates.  They still do this, as I referenced in my post of August 27.

I realize that some guys wouldn't have my experiences in a lifetime of seeing escorts.  Where you live makes a big difference because some cities are extremely aggressive, while others don't make it a high priority.  But as a result of my close calls, I've learned that you really have to keep your emotions in control and be very critical and careful in everything you do, even though you're preoccupied with getting laid.

Use your head, keep your eyes open, be aware of your surroundings and anything that doesn't look right.  Don't be afraid to walk away if you sense anything is off.  I always arrive early and size up the entire area.  I drive around the block, I looked for any signs of cops or cop cars being in the area.

As I found out with the girl I'd seen twice before (and whose reviews are still on TER), only to find out that she'd been busted and they were using her computer and phone, you can never let your guard down.  In that instance, I arrived early and didn't like a couple things I was seeing.  I drove away and then came back and watched at a distance.  I still wasn't 100% sure, but I was getting very suspicious.  Since she used the two-call system, I made the second call.  I didn't recognize her voice, so I split.  In that case, several things didn't seem right and because I was using my head, the minute I heard an unfamiliar voice I was out of there.

Most guys are so focused on getting laid that they aren't using their heads.  Remember, cops like to pick the low-hanging fruit, so you don't want to be that guy.   In every case, except the lady I'd never seen before that got busted, I saved my skin by keeping my wits about me.  It's far better to avoid the bad situations all together, than worrying about finding a good lawyer after you've been busted.
