one of our group recently went to Vegas recently and used his credit card with an escort. He  returned home to find that someone had charged a thousand dollars of baby diapers at Walmart onto his card, Question--who is the shitty thief?  Is it the girl or a hotel or gas station or who else? Vegas seems to have problems with this sort of info. I had this happen several times to myself and no escorts other than the wife were involved, just stores, hotels an gas stations...anyone  else had this happen?

Well, I activated a Debit Card using the bank's ATM (at the bank) and made 1 online transaction through a supposedly secure server.  The next day I found that I had rented a hotel room in London, bought 40 Euros worth of pizza and 1500 Euros worth of batteries.  Was it the bank or the online transaction?  All that matters is that the bank stood behind their fraud policy and refunded all the charges.

I used my credit card at a gas station in rural Florida and about ten hours later I got a call from my office that CC security was calling to ask me if I was making a lot of purchases at some electronics store down in Florida.

I suspected that it was the gas station and sure enough it was.  They bagged the guys at the store and I didn't have to pay a dime.

Given how often I use my card I'm amazed I haven't had more problems.

It should go without saying (But apparently it does need to be said.) never use your CC for any hobby related business.

How can we pay for TER membership without a CC? Prepaid never seem to work
