I'll try to make it clear and brief.  Joined a Yahoo group of a provider/entertainer by invitation.  Hot pics, perfect location.  No face pics, PSE, but not GFE.  Chatted several times on IM.  She wouldn't give up a phone number.  She sent a link to her ad on Cityvibe, and says she sometimes advertises on CL.  Last night as we were chatting on IM, she was very crabby, and said I was about to be removed from the group, as a "stagnant" member, because I hadn't made an appointment yet. Immediately, I gave her a date and a time.  She said she was available and that she would send the location and contact number that particular morning.
Is this one I need to shy away from?  Not the usual procedure of screening, etc.  Makes me a little nervous.
BTW, no TER reviews and she's not on Date-Check.  Thanks in advance.

Pushing me to make an appointment and then having to set up a contact would make me wonder about safety, but I am no expert so take that with a grain of salt.  I do wonder why you would want to get involved with someone who had to push you into an appointment, doesn't have a contact except after you make an appointment, and--above all-- has never been reviewed.

I would be very concerned since she is "threatening" you into an appointment. I have joined several providers' yahoo group and never had a provider threaten to remove me from her group for not having an appointment. On top of that, she has no TER reviews and is not part of a verification service, such as Date-Check, P411, RS2K, etc.

First of all, I am VERY uncomfortable with this situation.

She threatens to remove you from her list because you haven't made a date yet.  How long were you a member of her "group"?  Was it a reasonable amount of time, or were you relatively new to it (less than 3 months)?

My biggest concern here would be (were I a hobbyist) would be the fact that she's pushing you into a date, yet you have no contact info for her.  If she had reviews, that'd be one thing, but how do you know it's not LE?

Hell:  I've only been "in the biz" for 2-1/2 months, and I've already racked up nine reviews; three or four of them here on TER.

It may be that everything is hunky-dorey, but to me, it sounds a little hinky.

Just my .05 cents (adjusted for inflation)

Fire this controlling biatch before she even has a chance to fire you. Just tell her that she can't remove you because you have already quit! And don't see her.

My advice?  Move on-it isn't worth the risk you may be exposing yourself to-could be a legit deal-but...........stay with the well reviewed providers-don't get caught in a LE sting or connect with a psyhco of some sort!

Thanks.  My first thought was that it may be a gendarme stunt. I debated posting on this particular board.  Thanks again.

Given the ease of catching guys with a CL ad, why should LE exert this much time and effort to trap specific hobbyists?  Do have a reason to feel targeted?

I decided that even if she was legit, the attitude was a deal-breaker.  Cancelled, left her group, informed her of my problem with her MO, and her reply was "Thanks for finally not wasting my time."  I had been member of her group for less than month.

the two or three weeks you spent there were probably  two or three too many. Waay too many fish in the sea, so to speak to put up with that kind of bullshit.
