Adult Video on website - can that bring trouble?

I have a chance to be in an amature porn video, I plan on doing this and would really like to be able to put the link to see the video on my website.

If I do this, is this possibly inviting trouble with LE?

Most cops are male.  Most males like a challenge. Your putting up a video on your escort might be like waving the red cape at a bull.

Why not form your own yahoo group; a number of providers have them.  Put the video link there.  It can be found, but takes a little more work.

Being an adult film actress is legal. No trouble there.I'm an actress and I have streaming vids on my site.lol.It's legal.Well except for using the vids for my site. That's a different ball game.

To think that LE is going to pick your video out of the millions of videos on line to investigate who you are, and then determine whether you provide, and then target you for a bust is just too much to fathom.

LE is always looking to pluck (rhymes with you know what) the low hanging fruit; and that usually means Craig's List gals who don't screen.

Let the cameras roll.

(still not a lawyer)

1. Obscene pornography remains illegal and you can do serious jail time, just ask Mr. M. Hardcore.

        2. It is not accurate to say that any non-obscene pornography is legal; so called actors pornography can indeed fall within state prostitution statutes; few prosecutors these days, however, seem to have any interest in pursing such prosecutions bc of First Amendment concerns and a wacky California case where the judges were fairly clueless in their analysis.

Safety in numbers? Probably so.  That does not mean that someone may end up being the test case, particularly when the porn is a just a guy with a camera paying the girl for sex with him. Beware the amateur auteur.

      3. Of more immediate concern is the Adult Record Keeping Statute. If you are a primary or secondary producer of sexually explicit content, you have to keep records, and comply, and so specify on your website. Secondary producers are (1) those who use such images for "assembling, manufacturing, publishing, duplicating, reproducing, or reissuing" any material containing regulated images, 18 U.S.C.  2257(h)(2)(A)(ii), and (2) those who upload such images to a website or otherwise manage the content of the website, id.  2257(h)(2)(A)(iii).

Consult an atty who specializes in this and has read all the regulations to vet whatever you are planning to do.

Regardless of whether an argument could be made about the legality, seems to me that your gut is telling you that it might invite trouble.  I agree.  Why draw that kind of attention to yourself.  I don't see an upside.

If you really want to display home vids, I would suggest you come up with a separate website for that purpose and avoid linkage between the two.

I feel it could bring trouble, more from clients than LE.
A lot of porn is unprotected after clean STD testing, I presume.  Prospective clients will expect the same as they see on the video.  Video is likely edited...  cutting out warm ups, prep time, lubrication, etc.
My prediction is you'll get a zillion hits on your site but it will not increase your traffic.  Guys will use your site as "Free Porn"...  for the exact reason guys use all porn.
If you do a LOT of porn...  enough to get a big name...  maybe you could charge more per hour.
IMHO, I'd not link to it.
