Do you think LE will post a fake review at TER ?

I saw a new review of a girl in my area with 1 review. And the reviewer is also new - just 1 review written.

Is this more likely to be her posting her own review, or is there a possibility that LE will post fake review to lure Johns.  What do you think?

LE first priority is street prostitution since it affects the community negatively.
And it's like shooting fish in a barrel to arrest working girls and their customers in a short amount of time.
Remember that cities budgets are limited and they have to get the most results for the least amount of effort.

What would be the point of LE posting reviews?  If they want to bust johns, they just need to post ads on Craigslist or Backpage.  TER represents a small subsection of the hobbying populace - more people use CL and BP than they do TER.

I'm not saying that they wouldn't - who knows what they might think - but I can't think of any reason for them to bother.

of that other internet escort review site?

The theory of low hanging fruit applies only if they are not after bigger game.

Not sure if this is a proper link to post, but if you search for "Anatomy of a Police Investigation of an Internet Site" you'll find it.

wow. Hard to believe that police officers do not have anything better to do than create fake websites to attract a few clients in the area...

Earlier on this board we learned that LE has created fake websites, if they go through all that trouble why wouldn't they write a fake review or two as well? It would be in there interest to make their fake provider reviewed since we know reviewed ladies get more interest and LE loves to get the most bang for their buck (no pun intended), and how long does it really take to write a review? This is probably the exception to the rule as most stings probably come from a hastily written CL ad, that's all that's necessary to fill that barrel full of fish. Still, I wouldn't doubt it happens from time to time.

The article came right up when I pasted the title into Google.

Thankyou,

location.  This way they use the reputation/reviews of a legitimate, known provider, and then bust as many guys as they can before the word gets out.

I had an appointment set up with a girl I'd seen twice before, but between the time I set up the third appointment, and the time I was supposed to see her, she got busted.  When I called her for the final directions, I was pretty sure (but not 100% sure) it was someone else's voice. When I went to her incall I could see LE's presence and I kept driving.

For the next couple months there weren't any new reviews on TER for her.  Then suddenly a new, rather suspicious review appeared.  It was suspicious because it looked like it had been written based on previous reviews, and wasn't original. There's no way to know for sure, given the delays in posting reviews, but since she's no longer providing in this area, I was pretty confident the review was LE trying to get a few more arrests using her name before they had to move on and bust some other woman and repeat the cycle.

My advice is to always be skeptical, always be alert, and always be willing to walk away if anything doesn't seem right.  Arrive early and observe the scene for a while.  You might be surprised what you see.  Following these simple rules has saved my ass on several occasions (I live in a high LE activity area).
