Ok, a discussion broke out on the GD board about why some women wont see black men. Yes, we have all seen that post a million times. But, if this biz went legit, my contention is that the ladies would not be able, legally anyway, to turn someone away because of race. Now someone may counter with, well, she'll find another reason why she decided not to see that guy. Ok, that may work, for awhile, until that guy lodges a complaint about her, the complaints are looked into and...problem for the lady. Agree? Disagree? Would women be able to turn away a gent simply because of his race? My point to some of the ladies is be careful what you wish for (re: the legalization of this business) for it may have more adverse affects than one thinks. Thoughts?

I asked the exact same question a while back and the general consensus seemed to be that most ladies would rather see it decriminalized than completely legalized. But you don't really need to turn it into a black/white thing. What about the disabled and also what about cities where it's illegal to discriminate based on sexual orientation (I presume S.F. has a law like that?) Would the provider have to see women too even  if she isn't bi?

Thinking through all the ramifications I suspect most providers would prefer things remain as they are but without the fear of arrest and I suspect most would be more leery of IRS agents than those who enforce anti-discrimination laws.

Agreed but I contend if it were legal, women would not be able to discriminate based on race.

I think an analogy/exception to Federal Laws on employment, private "clubs"(but they may need a tax exemption) and housing discrimination.  E.g. if fewer than 15 employees or fewer than 5 housing units, certain religious groups and even Indian tribes.  Not to mention "mixed motive" as a defense e.g. blacks are too large, or handicapped guys are too complicated, etc.
Then use Roe vs. Wade, e.g. a woman has a right what to do with her body!
An ongoing "issue" is for example can a lawyer discriminate against which clients he takes.  The basic answer is yes.
So if a lawyer can fuck someone over by not taking them on as a client, a hooker should also be able to chose who to fuck or not!
So the simple answer is yes, there is no way that decriminalization (which would be the only possible change of the law) will force a girl to take on all cumers.

So if I opened a tiny hamburger stand and I was the only employee, I could deny service to blacks? And what about if a girl worked for a brothel in Nevada of the legal variety and it had, say 20 employees. Would she still have the right to fk who she wanted or does she give up that right because the employer is larger? Lastly, you say decriminalization would be the only possible change in the law. What if it were legalization? Would that change anything with regards to the girl being able to fk who she wanted or would that change things? Thanks!

If this country ever became Libertarian enough to legalize or decriminalize prostitution, then why would we not do away with silly Political Correctness bullshit?
