Being illegal does not get you out of paying your taxes. Anyone in the business needs to be declaring their income to the IRS, if they don't want a their property seized. The government only has to prove you have undeclared income.

The point of legalizing it is yes you would have to obtain a biz licence, and a work card and pay taxes which I have done for years. Im trying to push thier cause so no individual tries to monopolize it like Vegas. Any provider should be able to work as an independent with all of the above which any biz should have anyway.
The brothels monopolize the legalization of prostitution outside of a brothel it is illegal. I dont want to see California legalize it then make restrictions where girls have to work in a 'brothel' or for some guy and take half thier money. The girls should be independent and held accountable for license, medical clearance, taxes so we are not forced to be subjected to the brothel lifestyle. We all have lives, homes, other jobs, and family ...we dont need the hassle of having to go out of town to work, or in a house. We can manage our biz matters on our own quite efficiantly.
I read not too long ago that the counties in Nevada where prositution is legal, beat back an attempt to levy a tax on prositution that was supported by the brothel industry.
It seems the brothel owners were concerned that the local population might get tired of allowing them to operate and change their laws. The owners figured that by making the counties dependent on the brothel taxes, their existence could be better assured.
The counties, however, voted down the measure just for that reason. They did not want to become dependent on the brothels for future tax income.
Talk about a topsy-turvy situation!
Even California is going to start taxing medicinal use marijuanna, but Nevada won't even touch a tax on sex.
The brothels actually do pay taxes and quite a large chunk but then so do the girls that work there that is why Nevada is more than happy to accomidate the girls that work in the brothels.
If California legalized escorting they would pull this state out of the deficit in a heart beat.
