if i ca11 a provider and ask for a massage, meet at her hotel and we never discuss rates for services other than the massage, can i get busted?
but LE may have a problem getting the charge to stick.
Most LE try very hard to get the client to say or do something incriminating, like admit that they are paying money for sex in so many words; but if LE has set up a sting, and you haven't taken the bait, they may take you downtown anyways.
With a good lawyer, you might get the charges dropped, but who needs all the other aggravation?
Best advice is to choose your provider carefully and never get into a situation where you are nose to nose with LE.
(still not a lawyer)
Pls Mr Fisher: I need some practical advice. I'm very stupid in these areas. Suppose LE stings me in a sex for hire bust. Or even a DUI. "Call your lawyer" is always the advice from everyone. The last lawyer I delt with involved my Dad's death, and that attorny was clearly, in my eyes, incompetent.
Clearly, I need a an attorny to call on but where does one find such? I'll pay a retainer (which I suppose is cash in advance just in case the attorney is needed)--but where do suggest I start to look. I have almost no idea. Just anyone fron the Yellow Pages? Note my bad experiance in the past mentioned above. Some of these guys are just Bozos. I reside in Milwaukee.
Where should I look/how should I look to find a good lawyer for me? Thanks in advance.
To find a good attorney, you first have to ask what type matter. if its a criminal matter, then ask what court, jurisdiction. For criminal matters, you want an attorney experienced in the jusrisdiction. I would start with www.martindale.com and do a search by location and practice area. When searching location, remember, its not the post office address/city but the relevant court - many areas have a metro area name, but you want the specific court/jurisdiction. Once you identify several via martindale, review their websites, check their martindale rating (Martindale-Hubell is the oldest and probably most respected rating service). A rating of "av" is best, though it takes attorneys 5-15 years to be eligible, and there are good attorneys who lack this. read the websites, check other ratings such as "best lawyers in America" and "super lawyers"
The tough thing for someone n the hobby is that the best lawyers get $600 to 1,000 per hour for their time, and a serious defense could well run $25,000 to $50,000. More often that not, you can find a former prosecutor who has recently moved into private practice - young, usually unrated, but he still knows the staff in the prosecutor's office and can at least cut a deal. Still probably cost you a few thousand dollars, but with luck you can have it dismissed subject to good behavior for the next year or so.
No, not your local tavern, your local bar association!!! Most have lawyer referral services.
If, in the unlikely event, you are arrested for solicitation, you will ultimately need a lawyer, but not any contract, wills, probate, etc, lawyer!!! You need a criminal lawyer, preferably one who works on prostitution/solicitation cases.
Of course, your first priority will be to make bail. Keep your mouth shut, anything you say can, and will be used against you! In the vast majority of cases, the client is charged with a misdemeanor, and bail is most likely available, but not always cheap.
to arrest you and charge you with violating state law prohibiting solicitation or sex for pay. That is the sole criteria to determine whether you can be busted.
This could happen even though no sex was discussed or performed and you only received a true massage.
Whether you can be convicted is another matter and is probably purely academic bc you most likely would simply plead to the charge if sex in fact occurred. If you decided to fight charge both you and the lady could testify that you only paid for a massage but this labeling is by no means binding on the jury. The lady's reputation as a provider would be admissible evidence as well as your reputation as a hobbyist, if you have one.
These labeling arrangements rarely succeed in court on these facts.
when Douglas was arrested for solicitation after discussing the menu at a sushi bar, including half-and-half and hand roll, with an attractive, yet inexperienced under-cover officer.
Can you get busted? Here are a couple of questions for you...
Does her site mention only massage, or does her site describe something else?
Does she offer a massage only rate? So how much will you show up with in your envelope?
Most likely, you have contacted a FS provider, and are willing to show up willing to pay the FS rate!!! 95% of the time, you will have nothing to worry about, but if you do fall into a LE trap, it is WAY too late to finesse your way out saying "I was only wanting a massage!"
Just a thought, why don't you just call one of the many lovely, well reviewed, ladies on this site that make Minneapolis their home. Just run a search using your criteria, and you will have a nice selection.
I know some people think that they can't afford a $300 + date, but if the LE gets involved your looking at $30,000+.
You get what you pay for in life, can you really cut costs on this?
By the time you get in the room you should know the donation. If you know what to do leave it on the table and don't say anything.
Trust me -
Shes more afraid of you - Than you are of her -
There isnt a need to discuss anything -
Look at her reviews -
Search her email address on the internet -
Search her number on the internet ..
read her site thoroughly.
