Does donation placed on table do anything?

I read as much as I can on here trying to build up courage to call my first provider. One thing I read is instructions to place the donation in an envelope marked "(providers name) birthday gift" or in an envelope on the table. Does this do anything if popped by L.E.?

any criminal charges, then the answer is probably not.

If the provider turns out to be LE and offers the testimony at your trial that you left an envelope full of money on her night stand, most judges and juries will see that as intent to purchase sex.

If the provider is the stingee and the client is the LE, then the same logic will probably hold.

It's a nice little waltz that providers and clients do, but to little effect.

Best bet as always: do your research and avoid meeting LE in the first place.

besides looking for providers with reviews, what else can I do? I've noticed alot of providers on eros with no reviews, so obviously I stay away.
I also scratch with only one or two, but other than that, what else is suggested. Also, I have yet to call my first one, so what chances do I have with no references of my own?

Read most if not all the Newbie brd.

If any questions are not answered then ask the information is there ....I jumped in several weeks ago after months of reading and researching and still backed out on my 1st date because did not feel right....it all turned out ok....and also do not limit yourself to just one reference source.........

WE all have been there....Hell I got a date with a top 100 provider per one brd and she was my 4th date so do your homework....have fun email me if I can help or Fish he is the guru

Yes.  It lets the police know where to find the evidence that you paid money for sex.  But don't worry - if it's a sting they would have other ways of finding out.

provider along with personal information (home and work address and phone numbers) explaining how you are new at this but have read up on the hobby, etc., will result in a postive response.

This is basically how I got started.

Good luck.

If the cops have done their job correctly, they will not even need to see your money.  Chances are they used an ad (to bait you) that specified the price for the illegal act(s). Once you show up to the incall, that is the "act in furtherance".  Lots of guys get arrested and never touch or display the money.

So this means that any newer provider posting ANYTHING other than companionship should be scrutinized very carefully? For instance, does GFE also fall into this "futherance" category?

I feel most comfortabble with providers who do not ask for money before the party. Of course, this requires a lot of trust, but if no discussion or payment occurs everybody is pretty safe.  I have been with a few that operate this way.  You simply pay after the fact.
