I recently responded to an add, a Slixa add and website, very pretty pictures. She asked for a 450 deposit which I paid in bitcoin. I showed up at the address, but I got excuses, uncertainties, request to pay the whole thing, and it became obvious to me that I got scammed into paying a deposit for a fake add.  It's not a provider with reviews, so it was a bit of a risk to begin with. Can I report this to LE?  Or does that put myself into some jeopardy? Will I just be incriminating myself for solicitation?  I don't want this thief to get away with this. But I need to protect myself as well. It feels like I'm between a rock and a hard place. Would appreciate advice.

If not, then write that money off as tuition in the school of hard knocks and only see well reviewed gals.

 
Also put warnings on your local board about the scam.

Sorry that happened to you. Only send deposits to well reviewed & reputable providers. Live & learn.
