I have been working on this a of late ,and have been sucessful. By removing myself (opt out) from these online data bases, it is a bit hassle, I feel the less of the derogatory info out there the better.  I will post details if anyone interested.
there are services( many are scams)

Are you referring to "referral" sites such as Date-Check, RS2K, and Preferred 411?  I don't even understand how they work because you don't get a password or any apparent means of searching clients by name, et al.

Confidentially, I've recently received a few suspicious, unsolicited, and unwanted e-mails related to hobbying.  I want to know how these services got my e-mail address.

Hi,
Q # 1-
I am not an expert, but, I did get success to be removed from
Some online data brokers which buy/sell your persnal info including court records  for little or no money to any one.
( let me know if you want the details on this?)

Q# 2
-I think what you may be refering to on those sites that sent suspcious emails to you..are using something called "inporting"  all they need is your email & no password required & can basically break in... there is a site...nor sure exact name..squideo.com ???? that does this type of invasion ...it it suppossed to outdo googleing someone or myspace searching...

also. I checked those specific sites you listed  & many are connected to "Intelius"...
The idea if you can be "deleted" from the big data brokers, this will get you off the smaller aggragate  sites.

I was reading on the site & appears to be focused finacial issues.
Thank you for your knowledge

are both public and non-public.  It will search databases, through agreement with the record keepers, that public search engines cannot.  The depth of database information available is based on the level and type of Lexis/Nexis membership.

Lexis/Nexis does keep certain databases itself, but those are more geared towards legal and financial research.  The other databases are 3rd party.

So, if you are on a database that Lexis/Nexis has access to, and the person doing the search also has access to the specific database, AND that database had collected the data prior to the record being expunged, then yes, you would be on it.

The chances, however, of you ever encountering someone or some agency doing that type of search to bring it up are slim, fat, and nada chance in Hell.  Further, if you are in situation where someone is doing that kind of search, you are probably going to be concerned with much more important issues.

Good luck.

SO Far, I have removed the Expunged info from the top data bases,  Sad , the court never bothered/cared to update.

I may be in trouble,..

I am an injured passenger, that was crashed into  by an 18 wheeler, (resulting in 13 major surgeries)...the defense....is looking for something from the past to embarrass me at trial.
So I will also check & make sure I am not on L/N, if so, I can provide exp papers.
thank you DC
