actual arrests?

with all this scary talk about LE stings etc can anyone tell me the actual risks of LE trouble on any given day of activity.  This is important stuff for a newbie.  Surely the overall risk must be very low considering the size of this activity/hobby or no one would be active

You could look up how many arrests for prostitution take place on a given day and then take a guess as to how many hook ups there are and do the math.  It is a very low risk when looked at that way.

Even more to our favor is that most prostitution busts involve street walkers and not the kind of hobby that we practice here behind closed doors.

The risk is low, until you get caught. Use safe practices, reviewed providers and common sense.

I have discussed your question with our board expert from the Transsexual Board  who is certainly an expert on the matter having monitored the transsexual escort world from up close (hands-on) and from behind his terminal.

The word back is that you chances of meeting the LE masquerading as a trans-provider in a mini skirt or coming forward to interrupt you just when your thoughts had turned to the erotic and quixotic, are dependent on your location and the level of interest that the local gendarmes have in your intimate philandering as well as the economic needs of the community who look upon prostitution busts as a revenue stream.

Likewise, our expert pointed out that the preponderance of Internet escorts  are female and only about 20 percent are transgendered, and this might lead one to believe that there is a statistical chance of about 20 percent of the risk of meeting with law enforcement when one frequents an unknown  trans-provider as opposed to an unknown  female provider. Of course one might argue that, but with the exception of cops shadowing street walkers, I think you are safer in the arms of Annabelle Nineinch than Vaggi Abierta, but different blokes for different folks, as it should be.

The only instances of cops and “rubbers” that I can recall involved arrests or stops made after a hobbyist pulled over his vehicle and boarded a cutie pie, and as he pulled away a cop pulled him over and cited him for stopping in a no stopping zone or something equally ridiculous while appending the note “defendant in the company of a transsexual prostitute.” Who knew the police were so observant?

There's really no way to give actual risks - there are far too many variables involved: location, politics, complaints, other forms of crime, and more.

I can only speak based on what I've seen local in NJ but:

  - The majority of arrests happen in hotels and come from complaints made by hotel staff.

  - Around election time, there's always an increase in the number of arrests, and the attention LE pays to prostitution.

  - There are several towns in NJ that have full-time LE staff whose job it is to watch the boards: Backpage, Craigslist, TER, etc. to look for increased activity in their town.

  - The state of NJ, as well as several counties, maintain staff to watch and monitor pedophiles, and sites where pedophiles troll including sites like Facebook.  If they find hints that there are underage prostitutes in the area, they take action as fast as they can.

  - LE spends less time on prostitution related offenses if they're busy with other, more serious crimes.

And this is just the tip of the rubber. ;-)

There's too much involved and no real way to know how much risk you have on any particular day, especially since LE doesn't take ads out in the papers to announce when they're running stings. :-)

The best you can do as a newbie is to stick with well-reviewed local providers.  They tend to know the area, they know which towns are more active then others, and you're less likely to walk in the door and find a cop.
