Non Gambling Hotel choices

I am new to the hobbying life, and will be coming to Vegas in May.  I am trying to find out which hotels will work best for me.    I prefer non gambling hotels as I can't be near smoke.  I've looked at the Signature @ MGM and Trump.  Which of these would be better from a privacy/security and access stand point.  Are there others I should consider?

Thanks.

I abhor smoke, too, and I enjoy...The Four Seasons and the Delano Las Vegas (attached to Mandalay Bay).  The Monte Carlo, Palms Place, Green Valley Ranch, and Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa.

Many of these choices, have no elevator security.

And, rgo17, welcome to the GREAT world of hobbying! ;)

I would say go with the Trump, from my personal experience it's a lot more convenient from an access standpoint. When it comes to security I haven't had issues with either, however, a cfew times I've been to the Trump there was elevator security. Never really gave me a problem. Ms. Robin above listed some great ones!

Plus it's near all the action on the Strip so it's the best of both worlds!  You will need to come down and get your guest but it's a busy hotel and easy to meet for a drink first and blend in.  Good luck!

consider:

Vdara - non-gaming, nice kitchenette, large shower, separate soaking tub and views of Bellagio fountains. Access is easy, also meet ladies at the bar or lobby. Walk them up or give them a rood card and have them meet you at your suite.

Mandarin Oriental - non-gaming, even though on the strip it is secluded from the strip, beautiful suites, large shower, separate soaking tub and great view of the the strip. Mandarin bar is also beautiful. Access is easy, also meet ladies at the bar or lobby. I have never had any issue with security

Enjoyed staying there. Have never stayed at the other non-casino hotels. Ask for a room away from the train due to the train noise. The staff there is overly helpful and will supply large supplies of bottled water. I had regular king bed room overlooking the strip. the room was smaller than other casino hotels but worth the money. Mine also had a kitchenette. The Trump is located behind the shopping mall but just a few feet form the entrance to Nordstroms. There is also a convenience store inside the mall for your food and alcohol choices to stock your room. They have free shuttles every 15 minutes to Ceasars and have been known to drop off guests at The Wynn when asked. They also have a shuttle to the airport. The drawback is that they only have one restaurant that closes later in the evening but they have 24 hour room service food. There is a workout room and spa in The Trump. No security at the elevator. The pool is open in the winter too. Last but not least... The price is right...

as a few others have mentioned the Vdara very nice non-smoking hotel.
The property is newer than the Signature and more convenient for guests to visit you.
The signature can be a hassle for you to have visitors as well as the long walk through the MGM to get to the Signature in the back.
The Vdara rooms are very nice they have the similar layout as the Signature the kitchen and living room separate from the bedroom but more modern.
The trump is okay it is starting to show wear and tear on some of the rooms.

Also I don't know if you are aware there is a train that runs behind the hotel so you definitely don't want a room on that side.
I would also recommend the Mandarin Oriental very nice rooms with a nice lounge/bar.
Also there is the Platinum hotel which is a non-gaming hotel that has some pretty spacious rooms.
Delano is also a good option for a non-gambling hotel.
Have fun and enjoy vegas

I appreciate all the advice.  It seems as if I can't go wrong with suites are either the Vdara or the Mandarin.  Looking forward to my trip!
