I am using my alias on purpose for this request, I just received an internal TER email from a well established provider asking if I would like to meet next time I in Las Vegas(so far so good) because they liked a review I just posted of another provider (interesting) and they will give me a discount for a good review (WTF?). Does this happen often in Las Vegas? I am not new to the board by any stretch but this is the first request like this I have gotten.  The reason this interests me is if this is a common practice, can any of the reviews be seen as valid

Dam...but I need to keep it real.....That's just me. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

...which is one of many reasons why I don't post reviews, tbw.  The stories I hear about fake reviews make me think the whole system is flawed.

Women offering preferential rates for good reviews.  Women using aliases or "borrowed accounts" to pose as clients and post good reviews of themselves.  Men posting reviews of women whom they have never seen, just to up their "cred" or make it easier to book with other providers.  Men posting negative reviews (whether fairly or unfairly) and women demanding that the bad reviews be taken down, for fear of "ruining their numerical average".

And this sort of thing is just one of my many problems with the review system.  I understand that this is a "review site" and I appreciate the positive aspects of it, but I just have so many problems with it personally (of which this is just one factor), that I've tended to steer clear of writing reviews.

If you're one of the honest people who writes honest reviews that the worst thing that you can do!

Everything is flawed.. The voting for president system is flawed, I still vote!

They may end up getting what they say but is it what they deserve???

I learned long ago that when a provider catches my attention and I read the reviews, there are certain reviewers that have the same taste as I do and I find their reviews to be EXTREMELY valuable.

On any online review system there are going to be flaws but there are also going to be reviewers that you know you can rely on. Find the reviewers that like what you like and your experience about the review system will certainly change.

Perhaps maybe you'll even make a worthy contribution or two. ;)

Just because other people might be f***ing the system doesn't mean that you have to.

I would hope a person is always honest in their reviews about providers, they see in this hobby.  Okay well that begin said, I would take her up on it. Why because all businesses give perks once in a while to there customers.  Just like a provider has the right to set whatever prices for her time, she seems fair.  It's also fair to give us customers perks too!

So let her know up front. You only give honest reviews, and she is going to have to earn your high marks!!!!!! LOL

all of the shit they have to deal with that comes up behind from that (both from TER and other Hobbyists on this board).

I would be very suspicious of all of her reviews since you do not know if legit or discount reviews.
There is nothing more tacky then to scan the review board for new reviews and start contacting guys randomly because of a review she saw for another provider.
I wonder what the problem is maybe she should re-evaluate her marketing and ads if she is not getting business and has to contact people out of the blue.
It is not fair to the ladies who provide a great service and earn their reviews fair and square.
There is always some people trying to game the system with their bullshit.

call BS

Now why would the op do that?I find it hard to believe this would happen to him in vegas as well as phoenix.
Yep like said people and their bullshit.

So it stands to reason that a concerning request could get more responses on boards that the user is most active on (such as in this case of Vegas and Phoenix).

After many PMs with this user, he is NOT full of BS.

:)

Thanks for the concern though and a valid point!

Since I see girls in both places and she works in both.

with the fact you've asked on another regional board, and you shouldn't get the "I call bullshit" comments.

a good review. Once you leave the session you have already received the discount, why wouldn't the Hobbyist write a bad review if it was warranted. If it was bad service he's not going to see the Provider again anyway so he wouldn't care what the Provider thinks of his review at that point. Isn't it like someone paying you to drive a car and then you have to write an opinion of how the car performs? On the other hand, Consumer Reports will not take a car from anyone and then evaluate it. They actually buy the cars! They must feel that a free gift may influence their evaluation or more likely there is the appearance to other of influence by the car maker.
I have never been offered a discounted rate for a review, nor have I ever asked for one. I know many Providers who tell their client they will give them a discount on the next session if they write a review. After all TER makes you check all the boxes (and no matter what you check in the boxes they don't change the Providers page--so why do they make you do all that work if it doesn't impact anything???) and it takes half an hour to do a review, so the Provider is offering to pay for your time. OK or Bad????

Actually, after I reported it,  all they said was they were going to watch her page....
