For those of you who think it never rains in LV...

I took this picture while on campus today... The UNLV parking lot after only 30min of Rain! Glad I had enough forethought to park in the garage, hoping these people have good insurance..

Comprehensive coverage will cover the loss less the deductible. However, if the car has sustained serious water damage I would trade it for sure.
Water can do damage that shows up later after all was seemingtly fixed causing more headaches and aggravation.
Good for you parking the the garage..lol!

That's a poor job of drainage design and storm water management.  Nothing more.

Vegas has never been able to deal with even a small amount of rain.

A few years back I had a flight from Orlando cancelled because it was raining in Vegas.

Its always bad around the IP/Flamingo area.

...that location is an arroyo!!!   And it's not a matter of poor design.  It's simply because the cost of handling those relatively infrequent flows is something the property owners simply don't want to finance. It'll be interesting what drainage improvements are incorporated into the Ling Project.   Dealing with storm water management in the desert southwest is a challenge!  This has supposedly been the 3rd wettest summer on record in LV......even the local media can't keep up with it.  

Guess I should have waited for the real FUN to begin then sold my picture to the AP!

Okay, my car has all kinds of fancy pants coverage AND I also spend time at UNLV.

That said, when I know rain is on its way, I make sure to park UPHILL somewhere, get a ride to campus from suburbia, take a cab, etc...  

I'm not a Vegas native but in the years that I've lived here, I've learned the damage that flash floods can do.
