Which Hotel?

Going in January Mainly to Hobby and Play Poker

Which of these hotels would you recommend for a solo young traveler

Right now I have it down to

Venetian (Regular Luxury Sutie)
Bellagio (bellagio suite or above)
Aria (probably corner suite)

Which of these would providers prefer? as I have no preference

Venetian Standard rooms are pretty roomy I and well priced so I can spend more of my money on the lady!

At any of the other two places I wouldn't get a regular room but probably a mini suite but then less money to spend on the lady :-(

This would be a 5-7 day trip in January so pools don't fall into the equation

help a guy out we are in a recession but that doesn't mean we can't budget and have some fun!

Just get a regular room say at the Bellagio's or MGM. Hell unless your going to run foot races with the lady in the room dosen't make much sense.

Where are you going to gamble? Get a room there.

Just saying.

off strip and use the xtra $'s to hobby and play poker.  As long as the envelope's full and you're clean and courteous, I doubt the ladies will care unless you stay in a real shit hole.  The Rio and Orleans both have decent poker options and are a fraction the cost of the strip hotels that you mentioned.  If security is a concern, you might also consider choosing a place where you won't have to meet the ladies downstairs (check out the included link for a list of hotel security).  Just some things to consider, have fun and hobby safe!

few days ago. Great hotel and casino for a young solo traveler. I never had a problem walking ladies up to my suite. Plus most of them like the heated toilet seat in those rooms lol. Everything in the Aria is new and very high tech. Great bars and lounges and many places to eat.

Also the sex is better on those comfortable beds!!

I'd think any of those would work fine. I was going to say I'd pick the Venetian, but for a bit more $ that corner suite at Aria with the whirlpool bath looks really good.

The sitting area is nice for talking over some wine/cheese/fruit/chocolate before moving to the bed. Did I mention that whirlpool bath in Aria?

Curious what the ladies thoughts are...

Yes I have been wanting to stay at the aria since it opened the corner suites looked cramped from the pics...is that the case in reality or just bad pics...I figure for half the price I still get the sitting area in the reg Venetian rooms

Right now I think it's a toss Up between aria corner suite or Venetian reg room. I have stayed at the Venetian so know first hand it's a great room and hotel....but on the other hand I love staying in newer and different hotels...he'll by Jan the cosmo will be open and I can get a terrace suite for same $$ as corner suite

Sorry I know for most ppl hotel is an aftethought but I'm a hotel snob!

I'm a bit of a hotel snob myself and I think you are on the right track with your choices ....I'd say go for Aria or Palazzo (or Venetian if you must)...

What about the Palazzo? The rooms are all suites, like the Venetian, but they are brand new.

If you plan properly with the Lady, hotel security is never a problem.

I love that you are planning way ahead; kudos!  :)

When I go to Vegas, I alternate between Palazzo and the Wynn (it's not that great but they comp me well). Although I can't stay at The Hotel at Mandalay Bay anymore (that's another story), but I always recommend it -- it has nice suites.

Depends on limits you play at.  High limit action is basically only available at Bellagio.  Of the three hotels you list though, it probably has the least nice rooms (just the way these things go, the newer the hotel, the nicer the room is).

If you're playing low to middle limits, you might as well go with Aria or Venetian.  Aria is probably the nicest in terms of rooms, V is probably the cheapest option.  Kind of depends on what your budget is like, and how much having a nice room will add to your experience with your provider(s) of choice.  None of these are terrible, though.

If you're playing anything but super-low limits, on't stay at Orleans or somewhere off strip, unless you are renting a car, or don't mind shelling out for cabs all the time.

forget both MGM and Mirage - hate those places. Security busts my balls every damn time I am there, and I HATE MGM. If young, hit something cool like the Palms. No real hassell, you may have to meet the girl at the bar and bring her up, but a hot girl at Palms is nothing new

The Aria has a really nice poker room and the rooms are great!  So you can get your favorite provider and poke her then head downstairs to play poker - it's a win win situation!!

Have fun wherever you end up!

If you insist on top end, it's Aria. If you're looking for a suite vs. regular room, I have to echo WJ and say the Rio gives you better value.

Sign up now for the hotels you mentioned and then your part of their rewards club and you can get small discounts...even more once you start playing....

I get alot of comps and the rooms are quite nice....just recently stayed in the new GO rooms at Flamingo -- awesome and the lady I saw thought was cool as well....and was as big as suite just didnt cost anything.

Stayed in corner suite back in feb.. Was a nice room and the gadgets were pretty impressive!! lol
But the room  i was in had a very shitty view and was a LONG walk from the elevator! Only stayed 3 of my 6 nights there cos the girl i was with had been previously 86'd from mgm properties and got recognised one night! She got away but i ended up with a guided tour of the cells and an interview with LE! Told me if i was seen with her again i would also get 86'd too!! wtf! So ended up making a hasty exit and stayed at the trump which was pretty nice! but no action.. Had a good time in Aria up till then, but watch out for the security, they r sneaky fuckas!! lol
