A friend of mine was beat beacause she was nothing but a prostitute and deserved it. Im not saying he got a little rough, he hit and kiked her. If she went to the police he would turn her in also. I am pissed. What can be done.

If she just drops it, this bastard will do this to other women. Its just what he does.

As to your issue of him reporting her for prostitution, the justice system and the cops, thankfully, seem to recognize the large difference of seriousness between the crimes and act accordingly. If anyone can recall a recent situation where a provider was charged after reporting a physical altercation let me know. I cant recall ever reading of one, though there probably is a case somewhere. I dont think its' the norm.

Also to make his case, he would have to have some proof to give the police. They dont go around arresting people just on someones' claim.

I assume this happened locally. If so, LV Vice certainly is active but seems to concentrate their efforts on streetwalkers and casino girls. It sort of seems they want to keep things down to a dull roar but dont go out of their way to look for things to chase. I think this case would fall into the latter catagory unless I mmissing something here.

Anyone with more info please take a moment to post it as I sure dont have all the answers and this is an important issue.

Your friend was beaten and that is a serious criminal offense. She should do somethng about that.

Assuming it happened here in Las Vegas, I believe assault is a felony offense while solicitation is a misdemeanor.  So if she shows up at the police station looking like she was beat up and accuses him of the damage, I don't think his word is gonna hold up very well.  Of course, if this falls under a domestic disturbance type of situation, all bets are off (although he could be arrested for another felony for being a pimp).

Isn\'t there also a blacklist that they can be reported to? Thought I saw one a long time ago in LV, but now I cant seem to locate it.
